  1. My headcanon is that in season 1 they had the following ages: Twilight - 15 Rarity - 16 Flutters - 17 Rainbow - 13 Pinkie - 14 AJ - 17
  2. Smart intelligence? Sunset, Moondancer, Sunburst. Magic intelligence? Glimmer
  3. I don't know if this is a rumor or a confirmed fact, but I read a lot of times over a supposedly cancelled Starlight spinoff that would have taken place instead of her episodes in season 6. That's why she never had an episode with the CMCs, because they were saving that for her show, so, do you guys think an Starlight spinoff could have worked?
  4. In the show, 90% of the unicorns can only perform the most basic of magic spells, levitation of objects. However, Sweetie Belle, unlike her own sister, can do more than that, we saw her in the show using the teleportation spell (which even Trixie wasn't aware of how to do it) and also we saw Sweetie Belle using Accelero to run faster. How strong and talented do you guys think Sweetie Belle can be on the future? Maybe as strong as unicorn twilight?
  5. Starlight because she is an actual character all around, Sunset is too perfect
  6. No second Prances: All the jokes are really good, usually, I don't feel the MLP humor that much, but this episode always makes me smile, and Twilight is solid "antagonist" but the duo Starlight - Trixie is what sells the entire thing. The two have such a good chemistry together is probably the best of the entire show, and what's more entertainment is that we have a bunch of fan favorite character (Celestia, Derpy, DJ-Pony) having a in role in the episode, a minor one who is perfect for it. This feel like a season 1-2 episode in season 6, which is awesome. A Hearth's Warming Tail: All the comfiness of pony christimas and all the best song of the show in one episode, Starlight is once again, very entertainment, the lesson is very simple and cliche but it's always better with ponies doing it. I feel like the art of this episode is super underrated, for the christmas feeling this episode is the definitely the best of that theme. A Royal Problem: Another Starlight episode, to be honest, I never have been the biggest fan of Celestia and Luna, but I know a lot of people were, and for that, this episodes focus a lot in them, they are not this mythical figures of season 1, but neither the flanderized version of Celestia that we found in Horse Play for example, this episode shows the more human side from of the royal sisters. The biggest appeal from the episode is of course, Day Breaker and how cool the scenes of her are, it's clearly fanservice from a point, but it's part of the story. Starlight is a solid protagonist once again, I think she was the only protagonist that would have been capable of dealing with this, so for the map to call her is not forced at all. Freenmies: Seeing things from the villain's perspective is always cool, but I haven't seen many cartoons who actually do an entire episode about them, but THEY ARE SO GOOD, Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek work perfecly together. Cozy Glow doesn't have a backstory, but she works as a villain because how entertainment she is, bringing the best from the villains around her. We get to see actual character development from the villain who almost fall to the friendship side. Best season 9 episode by far. Crusaders of the lost Mark: Season 5 is the best of the show for me, so an episode won't be left. Putting this episode here also it's not the best thing, because the entire focus of the episode is the development of a character that the show will never use again (Diamond Tiara). The songs are really great, but I also wish we knew more about the other younger characters to care more for what's happening in the school. The final of the episode is legendary and brings tears to everyone, me included, that's basically why is on the list.
  7. I think it's pretty sure to say Fluttershy is the oldest, you can see her being bigger than the rest of them in the flashblack from season 1
  8. The whole idea is stupid, Twilight is the princess of friendship, her having a castle in Ponyville works because she lives among the people and can help ponies with their problems there
  9. Do you guys noticed something or a detail in the show that only few people catch on? For me it's: -Fluttershy should be a couple of years older than Twilight, based on the memories from when they got their cutie marks and the sizes of their bodies. -When they got their cutie marks, the mane 6 were probably a couple of months older (in the case of twilight) and a couple of years than when the CMC got theirs
  10. I feel like Starlight is underrated a lot, she is the most entertaining character in the show after season 6
  11. This is not a hate thread, hopefully, but we all have characters we don't like in the show, so, who are they and for what reason?. Mine are: Spike - Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Spike for being Spike, I just don't like him for the role the writers decide to give him in the last couple of seasons, especially because the episode of S9 where Rarity stalks him, everything they did with him feels like an incel revenge power fantasy on Rarity. Discord - Very annoying, his relationship with Fluttershy is "cute" in a sense, until he betrays the good guys AGAIN in the finale, and I just can't watch any episode with him either, more than the spirit of chaos, he feels like a neglect child trying to get attention, and for worst, every episode with him feels exactly like that. Rainbow Dash: - Same for the exactly reason as Discord, I feel every episode with her is RD acting very bad with her friends, like a total b*tch, I won't be able to hangout with a person like that in ever. Twilight - in most cases, I just don't like Twilight, mostly post season 3 twilight for one reason, she is TERRIBLE at friendship, most of the times she tends to act really bad to her friends (see the season 9 episode with pinkie) or just trying to appeal to much to authoritarian figures she admire everything doesn't matter for her, like when she didn't defend Starlight because Starwirl was saying a villain is always a villain. She is good at episode like 7x3 or the point of no return but otherwhise in most cases she comes off as.. not the friendship type
  12. People need to realize, just as Dubuc say, that saying "I'm sorry" is mere words, actions speak way louder than just apolozing
  13. Less focus on the mane 6, more on the students, the character arcs of twilight and her friends were over by that point and all the episodes dedicated to them ruined their characters
  14. I think a constancy in this fandom overall it's that everyone has headcanons about the characters and if you are like me, these headcanons are basically canon in your mind, so, what are your headcanons about the characters or the show? Mine are: -The mane 6 (except Twilight) stop hanging out with Glimmer after Every Little Things She Does. -Twilight develop a closed relationship with Glimmer than with the mane 6 in her last year in Ponyville. -Equestrian rules are different from human work in the relationship with danger, as no one has a problem with Rarity's parents going for vacations over and over again and lefting Sweetie Belle alone or with Rarity. -Speaking of ^ Rarity's dad is a former sucesfull player of the equestrian equivalent of American Football and he retired early because he is rich, spending most of his days in vacations with his wife. -Twilight's age is 16 by the first season and 20 by the last. -Sunset Shimmer was destined to be Celestia's succesor and Twilight is her replacement (and Moondancer is Twilight's replacement) and that's it
  15. I think a lot of people would agree the events of show happens in 3-4 years, but there's also a lot of timeline problems with this, mostly when it comes to Hearth's Warming, but I have noticed one between season 5-6. You see, The Cutie Marks Crusaders get their cutie marks in the episode "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" (5x18) and then right on the next episode "The one where Pinkie Knows" (5x19) Cadence announces she is pregnant. A horse or a pony normally is pregnant for like 10-11 months, that's alright. However, in 6x4 "On Your Marks" The Cutie Marks crusaders act like they got their Cutie Mark like a week ago, since it's their first meeting since then, curiosly, in this episode none of the mane 6 is on this episode, could this mean 6x4 happens at the same time as Season 6 premiere? But the most important thing here is: If in 6x4 is their first meeting since they got their cutie marks, it means episode 5x19 probably it's either out of order or happens way before in season 5. I think: Crusaders of the Lost Mark and season 5 finale probably happens very close in the timeline, since season 6 was probably just a couple of days later, the proof is how Starlights acts like the castle is new to her, and how the Cmcs aren't used to have their cutie marks. what do you guys think?
  16. When it was establish that Twilight is 18 in the first season? I remember Faust saying their mental age is 10-15
  17. I think a way more good episode For Growing Up is Hard to do would have been of instead of the CMC to get to a festival but they are too young and naive for it, would be the older sisters of mane 6 are too nervous about the CMC going alone and getting anxious over possibles outcomes for them, so RD, AJ and Rarity would follow them on secret just to find out they are doing fine by themselves realizing that their little sisters effectively grow up.
  18. The journey of the CMC from season 1 to season 7 is very perfect in everything. It's hard say everything in words, but from the girls having a preescolar voice to run their own camp of friendship was a big step, and having some episodios like Forever Filly where they made clear that Sweetie Belle is growing up and she is not a little girl anymore help a lot, but season 8-9 "reset" this and everyone started to act like the cmc were in season 1 again, and worst, like they were not capable of anything. Episodes like Marks for Effort and Growing Up is hard to do makes this very clear. So, my question is, anyoene else is bothered by how they treated the Cmcs in season 8-9?
  19. I think it's safe to say Rainbow Rocks it's the best one of the bunch. Mostly because the plot is simply enough and the song rocks (not pun intended) and as well the dazzlings being iconic characters that would be in the internet culture forever since that day. However, my favorite has to be the legend of everfree because I had the best time watching it, even if I have to admit RR is the best one, probably because it also has the best climax I have seen from my little pony franchise as well.
  20. I love Izzy a lot and I think she carried the movie in a sense, the best songs are hers and the funniest parts too. Besides the point, I dig her more than Pinkie Pie in that regard because Izzy is more down to earth and her jokes actually help to move the plot forward instead of being random gangs.
  21. I have two episode ideas: To Back again and now: When the map calls CMC's to a crisis in "Our Town", they meet a Pony stallion who wants things to go back like when Starlight was in charge because without equality he is a friendless pony without a cutie mark. Nightmare knows best: Luna helps Starlight with her nightmares about her mom, since a lot of her abandonment issues came from the fact that her mother, a successful pony writer, was never around for her when she was a child. After Starlight attempts to make up with her mother and fails, Luna decides to give the mother the worst of nightmares to teach her a lesson.
  22. >* Roasted Sister – When Sweetie Belle decides to sign up for Equestria Idol, Rarity becomes worried that her sister would become roasted by the judges, so she decides to cheat by having Starlight take control of the judges. I love this idea, but I'm very conflicted if Starlight would or should do anything related to mind control ever again.
  23. I don't.. mostly because there's a cop in the mane 5, but I do love Izzy and Zipp.
