I sort of decided to change up the Earth Pony lore as I couldn’t help but to build on the species with its traits. This is the current information that I have! Any feedback or criticism is welcome! Characteristics: “Earthy Growth”: This characteristic is quite vague for its name as a variety of results can happen if an Earth pony goes through an “Earthy Growth.” During their transition between child and teenager aging, Earth ponies can receive different types of growth depending on their genetics or a growth spurt. This can include fungi,vines, small flowers on their hind, dripping icing (If they are in the sweet category,etc. It usually depends on the environment that they live in. These growths are fully developed when an Earth Pony reaches adulthood and can help them camouflage into their environment just like any other animal would. Magical Abilities: Folk Magic: Earth Ponies have folk magic that have been interlocked within their families for over many years. It is said that they were blessed by the Earth for their involvement with Folk Magic is diverse in many of the lands both in Equestria and beyond as many factors would be included such as their environment, social/familial values, Spiritual/Religious beliefs,etc. Eg. An earth pony born in the meadows would have folk magic pertaining to the plants/fungi/etc while an Earth pony who was raised by the sea would have sea-based Folk Magic But Earth Ponies don’t have to stick with their familial Folk Magic Counterparts as they can expand their magical skills and learn magic from other Earth Ponies. The Ponies who usually hone more than one Folk Magic Ability are called “Menders.” They practice magic almost exclusively and are skilled with their balance between the various types of Folk Magic. Though the popularity of Folk Magic started to lessen as Earth Ponies have been accused of being “Witches” by Unicorns when witnessing this magical source. As the accusations have gotten worse over time, Earth Ponies started to reject the usage of Folk Magic and used their own brute strength to help their own reputation of being a more “accurate” representation of Earth Ponies as a whole.

I have this one oc idea but I’m not sure what to name them. They are a next Gen of rdxaj. Their talent is using thunder clouds/lightning shards and turns them into thread that will eventually be used to make weighted blankets! (As I would assume that thunderclouds are more heavier than regular clouds) They will probably take on more darker attributes for appearance (still not sure) but for their personality it’s slightly more Applejack with understanding and lenient. I just don’t have an idea as to what their name should be, may I have some suggestions?

I’m currently on season 8 of mlp and I had recently discovered on episode 13 that there’s a traveling tortoise in Equestria? This had made me really excited as I love these types of creatures! I was thinking adding them into my au as i would really want to implement them! Though I’m not sure if they should be uncommon/rare or if there should be a sub-species as well! (Will probably be a sub-species for it in general) Any ideas would be great if anyone has one!

Hello! My name is Sky/Skylar but if you want you can just call me by my user if you’d like! I’ve been in mlp ever since the 5.3 gen (I think that’s what you call it-) but I was sort of banned from mlp during season 4 of Gen 4 as my mother thought that I was obsessed about it. (I really was) Now I’m just trying to watch all of the newer seasons and adjust to some of the things that happened. I’d like to think that I’m a good writer as it’s something that I love doing. Specifically I am skilled with Worldbuilding and enjoy fleshing out my work! Despite my love for writing, I’ve never made a mlp oc in my life. (Definitely wasn’t scared of those mlp oc commentators back in 2010’s-) But now I decided to change that and start a new writing project around mlp! I am currently writing my first oc that’s technically my ponysona but it’s a slow process as I’m currently in a writer burn out.
