"I really wanted to help her! I was just scared to give her CPR since she was a mountain lion..." "Fair. A pregnant one, at that." -
In other people's dreams/nightmares, when they call the emergency number in their country, does help ever show up? I was talking about this with my mom, and it's a trend in our dreams that either help never comes or something interferes with our ability to call for help. I'm curious if it's the same for other people. (The nightmare that triggered this conversation is goofy in retrospect now that I'm awake. I'm all good. )

general What do you want to do RIGHT NOW?
LetterTwister replied to Sondash Studios's topic in General Discussion
Watch anime and/or nap. I've been tired all day, but I'm also bored... -
Good idea!! I did sleep poorly and for too short of a time a couple of days ago, and I'm currently recovering from a migraine now. I don't get them often, so I've honestly got no theories about what could cause them right now. I always brush off my symptoms until it becomes glaringly evident that it's a migraine, and by then, I don't have the wherewithal to think back to what I did differently that day. I've gotta start being more proactive about this. I'm glad you figured out what your main triggers are! Hoping for many migraine-free years in your future.

Try as I might, I'm still not sure what my migraine triggers are. It's so interesting how much the symptoms vary from person to person, though!

What made you sad/ angry/ negative emotion today?
LetterTwister replied to twiia's topic in General Discussion
Yeah! It's so lame!! This is the yearly billing section, but the monthly billing has the exact same "perks" and costs more. You don't even get to play without time limits on the cheapest subscription! From what information the "unique skins" thingy gives, it just.. changes the color of your avatar to like, pink or green. It's such a mess. -

Same here!! I'd always get so excited when it tossed me somewhere near home. Instant high score. Honestly, I wouldn't even be as disappointed if it was a "buy once and get access forever" thing, but no, it's a monthly subscription type deal. -

Ack! That's so annoying! I looked for a workout app a while ago, but I couldn't find a single decent one. I figured putting down my progress in my notes would do the trick instead. So many apps in general just... suck. Seriously. I've made great memories playing it with my friends, and it was a great way to pass time when playing solo. I loved exploring countries I want to visit (even if my scores weren't great since I couldn't orient myself ) and getting familiar with the different areas of my own, and yet. -

Mildly annoyed. I went to play GeoGuessr and learned that back in February, they switched from being free-to-play into being pay-to-play. When I first started playing it, you could play immediately for as long as you wanted. When I came back to it, you could only play for 5 minutes and, if I remember correctly, you had to wait 10 minutes between each round. Now this? -
mega thread Song Stuck in your Head Right Now
LetterTwister replied to Blue Moon's topic in Media Discussion
Yay!! I'm so happy you like it! Some others from him that I'd recommend are "The Hero (Remaster)" for a song in a similar vein as this one, "Blood" if you want a more depressing song, and "Psychopath" if you'd like an angrier one. Blood is the first song I ever heard from him and I still love it, but I'm partial to The Hero! -
mega thread Song Stuck in your Head Right Now
LetterTwister replied to Blue Moon's topic in Media Discussion
This is such a warm song for me. I keep going back to it. It seems long, but most of the singing ends at around 3:30 with the rest of the time being instrumentals before a few more lyrics at the end. I skipped on listening to this song at all for a bit since I'm put off by such long songs, but it's worth the listen. Nathan Wagner has some great work. I never see anyone talking about him. -

Disappointed. Betrayed, even. I wanted something cold and sweet, but I'm too achy to scoop ice cream, so I figured I'd get a peach instead. Health and whatnot. I didn't know that it wasn't ripe. It was like biting into a rock that someone spilled a bit of fruit juice onto 50 years ago. -
I shouldn't've binged that anime. Now I've got nothing to watch. ...well, I have a packed plan-to-watch list, but if I don't look at it, it doesn't exist.

Sounds like a good gift! I hope they enjoyed it.

Modern medicine is a wonder. A year's worth of pain (mostly) solved by five days' worth of medicine. I owe that nurse my life. He's an angel among men. I wish I could repay him, but, uh... how?

@Crypty Scribbles And a boop right back!

I've been catching up on seasons 6 & 7 of Boku no Hero Academia. I've been caught up with the manga, but I lost some interest in the series and never felt up to watching the newer seasons. I'm almost halfway through season 6 right now. This series is infinitely better when it's binged, so I'm actually glad I only got the motivation to keep watching once the full season was out.
