The gelding grotto sounds like a place where old war prisoners who were castrated by the enemy live now.

Being that gelding is a practice done to enslaved ponies and horses by their human masters who are using them for labor. I don't think the term applies to a society of free ponies. So none of them are castrated, i'st a dumb question.
