When I first started watching the show, I couldn't make it more than a few seconds through *any* song! They kinda made me cringe equally lol. Didn't last too long, thankfully, and now I outright love pretty much every single song in the series! ...wiiiiiith one major exception. I still have that same kneejerk "ugh, no," reaction to the theme song. At this point that's probably never going away! It's not technically a "real" song, but Spike absolutely struggling through singing that fake national anthem in Equestria Games is the most genuinely painful musical experience in the entire show lmao.

Trixie! I’ve been a fan of her since her debut, I thought her being a regular traveling stage magician in a world full of rainbow lasers and telekinesis was cute and fun! I appreciate her overall character arc a lot, from falling on hard times after Boast Busters and taking that villainous turn in Magic Duel (evidently it’s Not Great™ for a pony’s sense of self to be unable to practice their special talent because they’re something of a pariah!), to working since then to be better and get her life back together. She makes genuine friends, becomes a national hero and even ends up as the guidance counselor at the School of Friendship! Of course, despite all of that growth, she’s far from perfect. Even by the end of the series she can be terribly annoying, rude, and egotistical; she certainly wouldn’t win, like, the Princess Twilight Sparkle Award for Excellence in Friendship if it existed. But she does her best to be a good pony and better friend regardless of her shortcomings, and that’s very human, I think! Very relatable!

It'd absolutely be for the best if it did! It's genuinely ridiculous how difficult it is to stream the show in its entirety. I imagine it'll finally be free once the Hasbro/Discovery contract expires in a few months. Clock's finally running out, and I don't see them extending the agreement any longer than they already have for the past few years. Honestly I wonder if Discovery Family is even going to continue once that agreement ends. I'm sure someone out there would know better than I do, but as far as I can tell it's just a channel full of reruns and nothing else at this point lol. After the Warner Bros. merger it's just kind of... there? More than a little redundant! Not hard to imagine a massive ravamp if not an outright replacement on the horizon once the legal entanglement with Hasbro is over.
