    We all saw Nightmare Moon's reign at the end of Season 5. We saw the restored castle and Rarity's announcement that the castle was closed to tourists. So, does this mean that life for ponies hasn't changed much? Yes, we understand that every city in Equestria has tapestries, posters, and statues of Nightmare Moon and that everypony is supposed to love her, but that's better than being enslaved by Sombra, being food for changelings, or living in Discord's world of chaos. In Nightmare's world, despite the eternal night, plants grow and there is no frost. When Twilight spoke of the threat to Equestria, Rarity called it a tourist fantasy. Does this mean that life for ordinary ponies hasn't changed at all with the advent of Nightmare Moon's reign?

    I think that in the Nightmare Moon universe, Starlight either works for Nightmare Moon or is in jail. You remember her words about how no one in her kingdom should have powerful magic? Nightmare Moon uses the dream realm to find Our Town and go there to find out the circumstances
