  1. "Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence." That's actually a tattoo on my back. "Impossible is Nothing." "Seize the day." Because YOLO just sounds stupid. (No offense, Aureity. haha) I'll add more as I think of them. And one I never thought I'd really see in my life are the Army Values. Loyalty Duty Respect Selfless Service Honor Integrity Personal Courage
  2. You could fit my OC into just about all of those with a little stretch! His name is Shadow Chaser (My profile pic is him.) and in my fics he's a detective. He's worked with Twilight learning some magic to help his quests and Princess Luna in ending a plot to bring back Discord. He also has sort of fallen into a relationship with Dash. His first adventure is the link in my sig and that site has the first couple chapters of his second adventure. He's a pretty worldly pony. Here's hoping you can use him. Edit: This post got me to Parasprite! *Squee*
  3. Brutal.I started up my "Ending" play through and while I appreciate that they filled in all the holes. It felt unnecessary. Like, you could infer almost everything they explained. But people didn't want to rely on inference and general speculation. They wanted hard facts. Well, they got em. And the ending remains the same as far as I'm concerned.
  4. Twilight or Rarity based on the size of the places they live. After them, AJ. Mostly because I'd want to be working the farm.
  5. Quietly observing new moderators. Still early but a few are playing with fire.

  6. So Bioware released today the Extended Cut ending for Mess Effect 3. In effect, to give closure to all those that were complaining that the choices you made in all three games came down to variations of three color coordinated endings. I'm currently in the middle of downloading the DLC and it's 1.85 GB. And a part of me can't help but be discouraged by this. I fully enjoyed the ending I got. (For those wondering I was Paragon with the Green ending.) I thought the way it ended wasn't the best by any means and there were holes in plot and continuity but it was an ending overall that I was satisfied with. But since we all know Bioware saw endless hell for the ending, they've done something I had hoped they never would. They've released more content to sate the masses. And I can't help but feel like this DLC is going to be 1.85 gigs of fan service. Which just doesn't sit well with me. So, thoughts on the Mass Effect 3 ending? On the new DLC? Side note: Try to be mindful of spoilers on the DLC. North America gets it today, the rest of the world has to wait until July 4th. Respect our faraway friends!
  7. I like kids. Generally all kids. Just keep the crying to a minimum and we'll have no problems.
  8. Forever this. The world moves too fast for all of us.
  9. I always thought I'd only be into one kind of book but my shelf definitely grew with me. Shelf is a relative term. My books are scattered in old boxes all over the place. It starts with a lot of Stephen King. Followed by Dean Koontz with several editions of Odd Thomas leading the way there. Moved on with Harold Coyle, who is a big military writer. That brought me around into Tom Clancy, mostly the Splinter Cell novels (Written by three different authors under the pseudonym, David Michaels.) Those brought me into more video game books. The Halo series which I still haven't read more than two books of. And the Gears of War books written by Karen Traviss. I do a lot less reading than I should but it's hard to grab me unless it's mystery/suspense or some kind of military war novel.
  10. I'm sure someone must have posted this before but this forum needs so much more of this.
  11. Oh man, I could go on for days on this one. Shattered my elbow in second grade. Broke my leg in third grade. Wrecked my bike when I was 14ish and completely destroyed myself, ripped most of the skin off my right hand with that one. In the Army, I dropped a 14k pound piece of equipment on my leg just above my knee, twice. Smashed my toes with 95 pound rounds more times than I can count. Smashed my hand in a Humvee door and almost broke it. Smashed my finger in a Humvee window and almost broke it. Had a rocket hit a wall in front of me and took some shrapnel in my hands while protecting my face, which I then pulled out with pliers and a knife to avoid a purple heart. That's most of the more serious stuff. Haha I have a pretty high pain tolerance so most of this didn't kill me but it still sucked. Edit: Also, this probably also belongs in General since no advice is really being asked for. Now, if you meant how do we deal with long recovery times or casts, then you're on track for Life Advice. Not trying to be a jerk, just sayin'.

Ah crap, I'll fix it. Thanks.
  13. Ellen Paige ever since I saw her in Juno. She seems like a pretty awesome lady. Likewise, and I'm surprised no one has said her yet, Emma Stone. Both of these ladies appear as all class which I love.
  14. "All things are love, everything is tolerated."
  15. They told me it was built into the check!! Very happy with the newness so far. Doesn't feel itchy or anything!
  16. Hey, I take offense to that! Mine was serious! Ok, maybe not Beaker, but that crab one is hilarious!
  17. So, I decided to take your guys' advice and sit down and just write myself to where I wanted to be. I put on Pandora for something to distract me in the background and the first song my Pandora brought up was Eye of the Tiger. So I enjoyed the irony of it and wrote on. I just finished up for now and I'm WAY past where I was originally going to end (About 10 pages past it) and Pandora has Lose Yourself by Eminem playing. I'll take some humorous irony at the beginning and end of my writing session. Thanks for all the suggestions!
  18. This was my kitty before we had to give her up. She was getting very fluffy and pudgy. I miss her from time to time.
  19. I'm a fan of ships. But at my heart of all reading (And writing) I love action, adventure and maybe a little be of espionage and intrigue. I think the important part of any story is making sure you're characters stay in character. It can be hard with the Mane 6 but when someone really pulls it off it helps the story so much.
  20. So.. I recently saw a Hamtaro gif and it made me want to watch the show again. haha
  21. I've had a bad habit lately of letting myself get a pretty fully beard going and then just shaving it all off. Keeps messing with people I work with. haha
  22. They're uncomfortable and most of the time, barely work. Especially if you need to shave. Facial hair lowers their ability to operate correctly. You can't breathe while wearing one. And God forbid you wear glasses. They're terrible and I hate them. That said, they did save my life once. Sorta.
  23. That helps quite a bit. And is a great idea. I'll have to try that. haha Drop me your email in a PM and I'll send you what I have so far. Do know that I'm in the second story of this fella. To read the first one, there's a link to it in my signature.
  24. So I recently tested myself with a small fanfic and quickly fell back in love with writing and making up stories that were all my own. I've created an original character that I love to write, and his adventures keep even myself guessing. Writing for the other parts of the Mane 6 that are involved (And in my recent story the CMC) has been challenging but not daunting. I really enjoy all the energy I spend on my work. That being said... Lately, I'm having a hard time staying motivated to write. I want to. I know where I want my story to head and I've got tons of ideas floating around, but every time I sit down and think about writing I just can't seem to pull myself to it. My feelings toward the stories and my writing haven't changed, I still love it, but something just keeps me from working on it. Like, I sit down and say, "I'm going to spend some time working on this." But as soon as I go to open the story all the wind just blows out of my sails, which is frustrating. Anyone else ever have this problem? And how do you stay motivated to work on your stories?

Holy Mother of all things good and holy. This movie will be EPIC! Liam Neeson remains the resident king of being an absolute badass. Anyone else excited for this? The movie is Rated R so I put it in spoilers. Please view responsibly.
