  1. I predict that it will continue on for at least a fourth season. We have to think positive, bronies. MLP is too much of a cash cow for Hasbro to shut it down after Season Three.

I see it lasting at least till six personally, B) with bronies they've seen a massive increase in toy sales and I think monetarily they know that once fim and the g4 line dies very few of those people will still buy the toys.

To add to that, as I stated in another thread, once the show ends I predict within a year the brony fandom will drop to a few hundred hardcore fans and that's it.

lol on another note it would suck to be the person to try and revive mlp for 4.5 - beyond. You know that its gonna be one of those lines that just never will be able to live up to the one before it and yet all the execs at Hasbro are gonna hope for and expect it.

  2. Bronies are forever! B)

Really though that's a tough question. On the surface the answer is yes. MLP FIM is a fandom and that makes it a fad of sorts, which I think will lose a massive amount of its fan basis within a year of the show getting cancelled; whenever that is.

will Bronydom fade completely out though? No, I doubt it ever will, not really. The show has touched too many people and brought too many together, as you mentioned, for it to ever die fully. I can say, as I'm certain almost everyone here can, that mlp fim has changed my life and will always hold a special spot in my heart, no matter how old I get.

  3. Haha, eep... I didn't even read any of the comments, but my initial reaction would be that it would suck. Disney tends to "whore" pardon the term, all of they're stuff. I honestly think that they would run the fandom into the ground. One of the reasons the brony community has been able to grow so much I think, is that Hasbro has allowed it to develop on its own without trying to force it along or conform it. Which would certainly be the goal of Disney.

On a side note, I don't think Disney would've been that kind to bronies, if they had been the ones to create the show from the start. The moment they'd have found out about clopping side of the fandom, fan interp of characters, or plushie making it'd been shut down as best they could lol. (Also since it's coming off like I'm not, I am actually a big fan of disney films and cartoons. I just hate they're marketing techniques)

  4. Don't flame me but I think it's overrated, I didn't find it that great.

Honestly I feel the same. I didn't even find it that original of a story, *dodges shoe* but really, I mean it's the basic human meets pony plot that has been a staple in the fanfics since they started popping up in our fandom. (Don't kill me!)

  5. I hate the infighting. Just because some of you have never seen it, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. We're all on the same side.

This all the way. Expanding on it, mostly I hate the fact that many claim the motto of the community and then fight with each other over what is or isn't acceptable to like or do as a community. You can dislike something without making the people who like it feel like sh** lol, there is a right and wrong way to say you don't like something. We're all in the same boat of "weird," if you want to call it that, anyway. That said I'm not so big a fan of our rule 34 side.

  6. I used to dislike Rarity, but her character kind of grew on me.

Spike and Applejack are the two most underused characters, and should really have more screentime.

I agree completely  although fun fact; technically AJ has been in the most episodes of anypony, beating Twilight out by one. (Applejack: Taking over the show in secret one minute at a time ;))

Adding another of my own, now that I've just touched the tip of the fanfic world I also read My Little Dashie and found it... meh. The writing wasn't that great and it was super, super, sappy. But that stems partially from my extreme hate of HiE stories so yeah I'll never read cupcakes or anything else super gorey/death filled (I <3 them all too much to read these) and Idk if I'll ever read Fallout Equestria. less the idea more the size of it. I'm super lazy when it comes to reading so yeah... I'm gonna have to ease into that one.

  7. I have to have a notepad with me at all times to write my ideas down or I go into a panic and I suddenly get a billion ideas that I will forget. :/

I know how that goes, and yet I stopped because it's always when I lack my notebook in public that some amazing idea seemed to occur to me. Then I spend the rest of the day paranoid and repeating it in my head.

As for music I find it distracts me, (Always put on Enya or something lol) and I wake up hours later and grumpy

  8. I came, I saw, there was no AJ, I cried, I was consoled by seeing at least they were finally putting out plushies, then I saw their spider hair. I am disappoint. (Yet secretly if I find one near me, I know I'm grabbing it regardless)

  9. The reason mlp fim gets so much hate about it's adult following boils down to one thing, (which both you and the poster above mention) that is that it is generally accepted to be a show for kids, and even more girls. It could have the best plot ever made in the world and it would still have bashing simply because it isn't seen as acceptable and "correct" for adult men to enjoy a little girl's show.

The speech was fun to read and I don't really see you going wrong in any places. All I can say is that some people just aren't going to accept it on principle and most of the ones that are like that, if the do get herded, hardly ever go beyond closet brony and rarely tell anyone else, esp friends, they like it. If they come around to it, one more for the herd  if not don't let it get to you.

  10. So I was thinking about posting this in the fanfic area, but seeing as how it doesn't really have much to do with actual fanfiction decided it belonged here.

Anyway, I've found over the years that when I'm in the middle of a piece of writing, (be it fanfic or other) I cannot watch/do/see anything that has to do with that particular subject. (in this case we'll say mlp fim) Not until I've finished writing whatever story I was in the middle of. As you can imagine this can make my slow streaks/"writer's block" sections extremely annoying for me. If I do come across something dealing with it I will freeze and be unable to write or enjoy it until I finish my story. However once I've finished the piece I've been working on I tend to go on a binge on all of the stuff I missed out on. B)

So the question is this, anyone else have any weird or exacting writing/drawing/whatever type of art quirks that you absolutely must do or else it messes with your entire process?

  11. There's only about five of us. We all post under thousands of different screen names.

Lol I was gonna try to type something funny then saw this and turned in my hat... Still laughing ^_^

  12. Wait all of this happened while wearing that: "I just don't know what went wrong" shirt? I'm sorry but that is f'ing hilarious. Sorry it happened to you, but the thought that of all things it was that shirt you got yelled in

As for the act of it happening i'm also not surprised. People will believe whatever they want to justify that, their child, grandchild, whatever, has been changed into something, and not that it was the child themselves being expressive of who they are.

All that while wearing that shirt though... I'm still smiling lol

  13. Here's the right answer: when she does get love, people ignore it and whine about Derpy getting censored.

    I lol'd

think this thread belongs in sugarcube corner not fimfiction, seriousness though... I've found she tends to fluctuate and go through phases of love on places like fimfiction. A lot of this, imo, has to do with the fact that writing "her voice" spawns quite a few fights on whether or not people make her sound stupid and hickish. So when her diehard fans read a love fic between her and whoever, some love it and some rant that they made AJ sound retarded.
