I'm sorry for your loss, it must be heck what you're going through since your cat was so young. *hugs* I had a cat that had to be put down last April due to kidney failure, and I don't think I'll ever stop missing her and hope nothing happens to my other cat anytime soon; Celestia knows how badly I'll take it when he's gone.
Don't hesitate to take all the time you need to recover mentally and emotionally, and if you find it helps you try to think of things that your cat did that makes you happy and pretend for a moment that she's still there. For example if your cat liked sitting in a certain place, you can smile or say/think something like "Hi, (your cat's name)!" every time you look at or pass by that place.

I kinda like the idea of using flash drives to hold games. Even if cartridges never make a comeback, I'd rather store a game on a flash drive rather than a disc. Flash drives can fit in pockets and bags easier and, last I checked, can't get too scratched up to the point the data on it doesn't work correctly (like freezing game screens or skipping music tracks) as with CDs. Plus all the flash drives I've seen are rewritable unlike some CDs where once you put some data on it, even if it's one small file that you accidentally hit the "write to disc" option with, you're pretty much screwed if you ever change your mind and want to put something else on.Instead of cartridges, it would be better to begin thinking in terms of using flash drives and portable HDD to support game content. Now that flash drives can hold several GB worth of information, the primary advantage of a CD is circumvented. Blu-ray permits discs to hold more information and content, but it also increases the cost of production. Portable drives are relatively cheap and would allow people who like modifying games easier access to content. Unfortunately, game companies---specifically those producing consoles---are threatening to become increasingly restrictive in order to combat piracy. In my eyes, it's a fool's errand; and now they'll end up sinking millions of dollars into security systems which will likely be broken within hours of their release.

Except for the Avatar series (Last Airbender + Korra), Nick is the crappiest I've seen it in years. I gave up on Cartoon Network years ago when they started making non-animated shows; I thought it was supposed to be Cartoon Network, not craptacular network. At least Nickelodeon shows a few of the old shows on Nicktoons network or whatever it's called late at night on weekdays, though I guess they're assume everyone who liked shows such as Doug, All That, and Hey Arnold are night owls who don't have to get up early the next morning and can afford to pay their cable/satellite/fios/etc. company to get that channel.
As for the Disney Channel, I've never liked it much so no comment there.

Laptop specs (mostly taken off of my control panel since I can't remember everything off the top of my head):
- Model: HP Pavilion dv7 (3063-cl according to the labels on the bottom)
- OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- Processor: AMD Turion II Dual-Core M520, running at 2.30 GHz
- 4.00 GB of RAM
- 500GB hard drive
I don't think it's anything special, but I think it boots up and runs at a nice pace so I'm happy. At least right now it's not my mom's old desktop computer, which is some HP machine with Windows XP and (last I checked) 256MB of RAM. It takes forever to completely boot up, or at least to the point where it can open up and run Firefox; she's timed it at over half an hour.

If I got my chance right after you, I'd go with Sparx. Spyro's gotta have his bff around somewhere. For extremely long, convoluted, complicated reasons that would take many hours and hundreds of thousands of words to explain in a proper and exact capacity, Spyro.
Seriously, the explanation behind that one makes a Final Fantasy game look short.

I don't get out of the house too often (more or less go to parties), but when I do, I usually dance like this:
Or if someone makes me or if I don't think anyone's watching:
(I know, these have been used before, but they fit my dance moves pretty well )

I feel a little awkward atm for still going on Neo on a regular basis now... Now that the AC's crap, I mostly just go on to hang with the people I've met on the boards. Here's my account if anyone feels like looking at it (holy crap, 7 years for me this month, where has the time gone? ).

I think I'm more of a saver. Even at concerts if there's a bunch of merch I want, I'll still (at least try to) leave enough left over for
extremely overpricedvenue food. -
Lots more wishes, maybe infinite. If not, then I dunno, maybe having more Sonic restaurants on the U.S. northeast coast above Virginia and parts of Delaware. I'd like to be within driving distance of precooked tater tots and all of those awesome shakes those TV commercials talk about.

Gee thanks Viacom for being overly greedy and stupid again and giving me something crappy to look forward to when I get home from vacation. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png
Are all of those channels out for every DirecTV package or just certain ones? And thankfully I never cared for most of those channels, but getting rid of the Nick channels I like AND Spike? Aw buck no!It's official, Viacom signals are dark on DirecTV's end. Viacom has officially forced them to remove the follwing channels from the list:...

Of those options, I'd say PC and 3DS. I don't care much that my laptop isn't some mega-expensive, ultra-gaming-ready gaming computer as long as it does what I want it to do at a good pace, mainly internet browsing, multi-tasking in terms of internet browser + word processor + anything else I feel like having up, and occasional gaming if I feel like it.
Although if I had to pick a console, I'd say PS2. The ability to play all of the PS1 and PS2 games I own without getting as much memory as the console can support or downloading them is more important to me than awesome graphics.

iPod, headphones, 3DS, and occasionally an old GameBoy game case containing three of my 3DS/normal DS games plus a backup stylus. Sometimes my 3DS and stuff is in my travel case or whatever depending on where I'm going; the case is too bulky to keep with me every time I go out.

Maryland USA, a few Metro/subway stops from DC and a good 3-4 hours of driving away from places like Ocean City depending on traffic and speed and stopping anywhere.

Oh yeah, then there's the kids/people who haven't been physically able to play real football since birth for some reason. Then there's those like me who are probably the most un-athletic people ever... Yeah, Madden is definitely safer for everypony's sake. That's all fine and dandy until you tear an achilles or get a concussion from a hit lol. Playing Madden is more safe

Pokémon Black & White 2 are unnecessary, at least in terms of bringing back a bunch of old poke's. I thought Gen 5 was supposed to be a kind of "new beginning" or something; new region, all new poke's instead of just adding (sometimes ugly and/or unnecessary) evolutions to existing poke's... *glares at Magmortar and the like* Black/white Kyurem I can get used to and learn to like, but ugh. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png
Something tells me that "realistic gameplay" in a football video game (or other sports game for that matter) won't come out in our lifetimes at the rate the Madden games seem to be going at. Besides, if people want realistic football gameplay, they should invite some friends over, go outside for some fresh air, and find a place to play some real football IMO.But football fans don't care about adding features. They want the gameplay to be the most accurate it can as if it's a real football game. The major complaint over the years with Madden/NCAA is that the gameplay sucks and instead of improving it, EA just adds new modes and features.

Grilled cheese! Thats what I do...
Or if you've got some leftovers like ground beef/burgers or pizza toppings, you can add those in and make grilled cheeseburgers or what my mom calls "pizza-wiches". Slice o' bread, then cheese, toppings, more cheese, second slice o' bread; cook and omnomnom delicious goodness.
*highfives for microwave cooking* Chef Boyardee ftw!I love pasta. I specialize with microwaves. y'know, kraft dinner, hotdogs, even rice lol

In no particular order whatsoever: Big Macintosh, Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. It's hard for me to pick one, but if I had to I'd go with Twilight at the moment; she had me sold at her social awkwardness and craziness to get stuff done on time.

Another ISTJ over here, maybe somewhat borderline ISTP depending on the test. Big Mac with a side of
french friesSpike, heck yeah! -
I can usually deal with them, it's just like with all kids no matter what the age: as long as they don't follow me around and want my constant attention for a good few hours straight or so, we're cool.

I don't mind either name, though I personally prefer to call her Derpy just because that was the first name I heard and started using for her.
Well now that you mention it, I'm gonna start calling her Derpy Doo just because I like the sound of that better than Derpy Hooves.Amy Keating Rogers has used both names and a combination "Derpy Doo" for scripts

Making intros always makes me feel like a Fluttershy-tree, but here goes...
I'm Lena (or some variation of my username if you prefer) and I've been a pegasister for... omg I don't remember, since sometime during the first season I think. My brain seems to enjoy being as goofy as Derpy Hooves herself, I like zombies, and sometimes tend to be an emoticon/smiley-crazy person (though I try to keep my emoticon-addiction under control so I don't look like I'm abusing them or anything ). Other than MLP, I'm into rock/metal music and occasionally watching TV or playing video games, usually my 3DS while brushing the dust off of my PlayStation 2 (or PS1 and/or GameBoy Color if I'm feeling really nostalgic) every once in a while.
After lurking around here for a few hours, I decided to come join the herd and get to know some more MLP fans.

What makes where you live famous?
in General Discussion
Let's see ... um... derp... *resorts to stalking Wikipedia*
The Washingtonian Center (aka Rio) is pretty popular, especially during the warmer months when the weather's real nice. NIST is headquartered in my town, the bassist from Hootie and the Blowfish was born here, and my town's the "fourth largest incorporated city" in my state. Oh, and it hosts an International Latitude Observatory, apparently only one of six in the world.
More stuff here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaithersburg,_md
*continues Wikipedia-stalking my town* Huh, apparently I live on the "east side".
