Whilst I have taken a liking to alot of music, I was never really interested in music until my ears were graced with the magic that was Power Metal. I'd have to admit Dragonforce are probably the sole reason I even discovered heavy metal in the first place.
So I pretty much enjoy every genre of rock/metal now, and don't listen to so much power metal anymore, but it is still the genre of music that I go back to when I want to listen to purely awesome fast paced music, so probably deserves the title of my favourite genre.

I got this game free with PC Gamer magazine a few weeks ago, and I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I love strategy games so I sort of already knew what sort of game it was going to be from another Paradox game, Crusader Kings. I built my epic Scottish Empire by conquering most of Africa, Oceania and North America, whilst being fought by Spain and France, so it really does pose a good challenge. It is not the most welcoming game for newcomers, but having a look at the tutorials can help.
And, in terms of AI going off the rails, my game has the grand empire of Oman ruling over most of the Middle East and India, as well as the Kazakh empire ruling over most of Northern Asia. And also a strange case in the Byzantine empire fighting back against the Ottomans and defeating them. And yeah, I'd love to try multiplayer some time if I ever have any spare time.

1. Fluttershy - I really think the theme suits her quiet, almost non existent personality well.1. Rainbow Dash - Most awesome of the lot of them, the guitar playing is great and the riffs are epic, plus I think it suits Dash's personality the best.
2. Twilight Sparkle - This one is pretty good aswell, I really liked the instrumentation and the composition and at 0:25 it really starts getting awesome.
3. Applejack - Theme suits her country style well, and 0:44 is by far one of the best epic pieces of all the themes.
4. Rarity - I think its a good, elegant sounding theme that suits her, even if it really doesn't make much sense as a battle theme.
5. Pinkie PIe - Kinda suits her, and has grown on me a bit as a fun theme...

I am not convinced until there is a proper F-zero game. The Nintendo Land mini game does not really count, since its not really a proper game and nor is it a sequel to GX.

Doesn't look like its coming out on UK version of Amazon unfortunately (not yet anyway) guess I'll have to stick to youtube for all my pony needs.

Any game project aiming to make a pony MMO is most likely going to die in the end and never be released due to poor planning and poor organization. Just sayin'... coming from somebody who recently resigned from one of those projects because of those reasons.
Think about it... how often do you see indie MMO's being made?
Kinda agree with what you are saying, the costs involved in making an MMO are incredibly high compared to other games. Also MMO's are massive games, most commercial MMO's are made up of teams with 50+ devs, and whilst I think it certainly would be possible for an indie dev to make a MMO, the amount of capital required to make one would almost certainly outweigh the tag of 'indie'.

Fair to Midland, awesome alternative-prog band I discovered recently. Awesome singer and very well composed proggy music.

I'd say Gen 4. I loved Sinnoh and the new pokemon from that gen were definitely my favourites. Most notably Electivire and Glaceon. Gen 3 isn't far behind, but it had zigzagoon, which to this day is still the worst pokemon ever to exist.

Just got reminded how awesome the Super Smash Bros. Brawl soundtrack was. It was one of the most consistently superb and well done soundtracks ever done in a game.

Doing my homework is one of the only times I ever get to sit down and listen to long prog songs properly, so my entire playlist consisted of RItchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Symphony X. Came across this and remembered how I sat in awww for the full length at how awesome the song was the first time I heard it. Still awesome every single time I listen to it. :

Traditionally being a metalhead/prog rocker, the songs took time to grow on me, but in the end I really enjoy them, and can see how well Daniel Ingram wrote the songs. It also allowed me to maybe gain more momentum to listen to the mostly electronic music performed by brony artists.
Defending My Little Pony cannot always be done anyway, I have a friend who says "It's girly", and thats his unmovable opinion, and I do not wish to change it.

Not sure really, hard to gauge what time I remember everything happening. But I remember being 3-4 when I went to the RAF Leuchars Air Show, I was fascinated with jet fighters at the time, so that was awesome.
I also remember battling Pokemon cards with a friend I had in nursery when I was young as well, completely ignoring what we were actually supposed to do.
As for video game, my first console was the Sega Megadrive with Sonic the Hedgehog, quite old-school when compared with all my friends who at the time owned PS1's.

My school is actually alright most of the time, and the people there are mostly pretty reasonable. The construction of the school however, is not great. Built during the early 80's recession, my school is the definition of a cut price school. over 800 people go to my school, yet the corridors are about 2 meters wide, the classrooms are tiny and the building is broken and awful to look at.

Since this thread appears to be tagged with djent, I think it was only a matter of time before I was going to post the new Periphery.

2:03 is the best inclusion in the history of heavy metal music, Misha Mansoor is a hilarious producer. Not a bad album either.

Well, here in Scotland its partially cloudy, at 17 degrees Celsius. Which is nice considering for the last few days all it has done is rain

Whenever I think about awesome video game soundtracks, one series immediately springs to mind. Final Fantasy. Some of the best composition ever.

And I'm back, with some Bodom. Their new stuff is alright, but their older music will always hold a place in my nostalgic power metal heart.

Although some of them look awesome, I think the indie scene in general is still plagued by one thing: Minecraft. Loads of games seem to share the "block" system, whilst that is not in itself a bad thing, I think it just shows a lack of originality. Definitely some good games on greenlight though, and I can see some truly superb games coming out of it in the future.

I'm playing Vanu on the EU server 1, character name is Reshi. Hopefully i'll see you on the battlefield!
And what do you expect, its bound to be buggy considering it has only JUST come out of Alpha testing all in all its not the most buggy game i've tested, you should have seen Battlefield 3 in Alpha, it was insanely buggy.
I'm part of the Vanu too My character is Pyrolysis, so you may find me some time The new conglomerate are winning, so we better fight them back.
EDIT: I just took part in an epic hour long siege by the Vanu to take the Crown from the Terran. We are underpopulated, underpowered, but we still prevailed over the vastly larger force. We epically battled up the ridge, then battled through the massive complex to attain victory

I'm no expert at java, but could it be an error related to use of Modifications in multiplayer?
Top "Getting Pumped" song or genre?
in Media Discussion
Experimental Math Metal is what gets me pumped. Especially when it is Meshuggah turned up to full blast but pretty much any metal gets me pumped.
