  1. I've been looking at quite a bit of brony art recently and got to wondering how other bronies discover it. So my question to you is how do you find brony art? Are you like me where you just use EqD or do you have a different method?
  2. All right, let's see:Twilight VS AJ : Twilight, she may not be as strong as AJ but magic gives Twilight a huge advantage by allowing teleportation and ranged magic attacks, among other tricks. RD VS Pinkie and Discord VS Chrysalis: Pinkie would defeat RD and Discord would defeat Chrysalis simply because Pinkie and Discord have both frequently displayed a complete disregard to the known laws of the universe unlike their opponents. Shy VS Rarity: Shy, Two things: A, The Stare, B, Rarity displays an unwillingness to sacrifice appearance, a crucial weakness in battle.
  3. I would like the show to go until they ran out of material, but I like to think that as long as our community can continue to put out great fan art the show has yet to truly die. So it won't be on T.V. for a while, but that doesn't mean that we can't experience the same quality of stories and art that we've come to know and love. We are a dedicated fanbase that is capable of great work. Bottom line: The T.V. series may die but the ponies will live on as long as there are bronies to continue their legacy.
  4. If you could go on any adventure (canon or fanon) with anypony in equestria (or nonpony) who would it be and what would you do? Personally I would go with Fluttershy and the others in the wedding (season 2 finale) It's time to kick some changeling flank!
  5. While it is an interesting concept, it may not turn out as well as we would all like to imagine. There are so many different interpretations of how the background ponies behave and what their personalities are like that no matter how they were handled many of the fans would be left disappointed. One of the reasons that the background ponies can become so popular within the fandom is because their personalities are undefined, so that if you run across an interpretation of your favorite background pony that you don't like or agree with you can disregard it and use your favorite interpretation of said pony. In this sense the lack of a defined personality can protect them. It's the same problem as if Hasbro started shipping ponies, you'd love the couples you agreed with and be annoyed/disappointed with the ones you didn't. TL:DR Might be cool, would inevitably upset fans. Might reduce popularity of background ponies.
  6. It's less about the actual clopping aspect in my opinion and more about the irony of discovering that a person has developed a sexual interest about something they previously ridiculed you for, especially since that kind of interest is controversial and occasionally made fun of by the group that they originally ridiculed.
  7. Yeah, my bad on the typo, I missed when I checked for errors. However I have gone back to the OP and fixed it so hopefully that helps.
  8. So choose the pony you want to move in with i.e. Twilight and as you enter Equestria you become a unicorn or if you pick fluttershy you become a pegasus and so on. However moving in with Twilight doesn't mean you have to be a librarian and rarity doesn't make you a dressmaker etc. For example I pick Fluttershy so I become a Pegasus and live with her, and for my job I am a painter even though fluttershy doesn't paint.
  9. So you receive an invitation to go to Equestria and move in with any one of the mane 6. During the trip as you cross the dimensional border you transform into the same type of pony as the one you chose to move in with. Who do you choose and what will your new job be? (Doesn't have to be the same as the pony you chose.)
  10. Personally I would just awkwardly walk out of the room and never speak of it again. I don't care much either way on clopping, but that is one of those events you just try to forget.
  11. Lurking about on the forums, when I should be doing homework. Oh well, I'll get to it in a minute, or a week, or never.

  12. I got bored so I figured I'd start a thread. So, here's your scenario: You walk in on one of your friends clopping. This friend has previously made fun of the fact that your a brony and that you like a "little girl's show". How do you respond?
  13. Ha! Perhaps that would indeed be a more fitting name.
  14. Indeed I did find that many people interpreted worst to refer their least favorite of the ponies, instead of what I had originally intended which which was more of a who's your favorite bad guy type thread. However, I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. While it does create some pointless bickering, I find that it allows us to introduce viewpoints and aspects of characters' personalities that may not have been taken into consideration. Many people are hesitant to acknowledge their favorite character's shortcomings or their least favorite character's accomplishments. I find that when you keep an open mind, theses kinds of threads can help us to appreciate our beloved ponies from alternate perspectives and enjoy their carefully crafted personalities to new depths. Personally, I hate when shows create characters that don't have a good balance of strengths and flaws, as they often come across as flat and uninteresting. "Perfect heroes" are unable to be related to and are unable to develop over the course of the story, while completely evil villains with no redeeming qualities seem very two-dimensional and prevent a certain level of immersion in the plot. More moderate characters who the audience can identify with and understand tend to be more compelling and better overall.
  15. So, I know that one of the more common questions between bronies and pegasisters alike is the obligatory: "Who's the best pony?" I however thought that perhaps the reverse should be considered as well. So my question to you is who is the worst, most evil, most diabolical pony (or nonpony) in all of Equestria? Tell us why your antagonist (or protagonist!) is the most evil of all!
  16. Thanks for the link. This guy does some phenomenal artwork. It's cool to see that so many people with this kind of talent all like the same show, and also to see just what these people can do individually or collaboratively. I don't think I have wandered onto a brony site (or in this case collective within a site) without my jaw hitting the floor at least a couple of times.
  17. So I'm pretty knew to the community and only know about a couple of the artists in any of the fields. I thought it might be cool to see what you guys like so I can check it out myself. So, what are some of your favorite songs, fics, pics, etc. Whatever you think is cool or interesting. Just one thing, please keep it safe for work, as in no rule 34 and no gorefics. Otherwise, let's hear it!
  18. Thanks for the warm reception! To answer these questions, I do indeed play pokemon and I game pretty evenly between console and and PC. It just depends on my mood that day. I'm pretty open in my game taste and will play almost anything (COD, Zelda, Mario, Skyrim, Final Fantasy, you name it and I'll give it a shot!)
  19. This guy is my new hero. I can't even begin to imagine how tough it must have been to get up in front of these people and announce that he was a brony. I couldn't do this in a million years.
  20. This seems neat, count me in!
  21. I am a closet brony. I have a friend that knows, and I think my parents are starting to get suspicious, but I'm probably not going to be coming out about it to any nonbronies anytime soon.
  22. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: I was looking at some Brony art, and it linked me to this site. I poked around a bit and it looks like a good place to hang out without fear of judgement. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: One of my friends mentioned that a bunch of older men were watching a show for little girls, and they called themselves the bronies. Not one in to be out of they loop I checked them out. Finding them, (us) to be surprisingly normal, I checked out the show and was hooked instantly. I'm a 15 year old boy living in Maryland. I like drawing, reading, gaming and ponies of course! I started checking the bronies out about a moth ago, and have just recently started to participate in the forums.
