  1. My name's Ben, so nothing too crazy. Its short at least, and there's no "s" that I have to say with my lisp.

The only negative is that whenever anyone says pen, den, been, bin, or anything like that it sounds like someone is calling my name.

Its a small complaint though considering my parents were going to name me Ashley. As a boy.

Thank God they changed their minds.

  2. I've had a recurring dream since I was young, and I just had it again last night.

I'm part of the Disney movie version of "Hercules", and its the part of the movie where Hercules is depowered. Anyway, I'm in the place of Hercules, and I'm running around trying to fight the giant cyclops. I'm getting beat up, like in the movie, when the monster picks me up. At this point in the movie Hercules uses a torch or something to burn its eye, but I'm not so lucky.

I'm helpless in the grasp of the cyclops and in a moment of horror I realize I'm about to die. I proceed to be eaten by the cyclops and chewed into tiny little bits, all the while being fully aware of my death and feeling the pain that comes with it through an out of body experience. As you might expect, is very disheartening to see yourself chewed up into a wad of blood/flesh, even in a dream.

That last part where I get eaten lasts a loooooooong time, but eventually the dream ends there. I'd like to see how Freud would link that dream to repressed sexual tension or whatever.

  3. I drive a green 2005 Honda Element, a "toaster on wheels"

What I really want to drive though is a bright orange Pontiac Aztek. It's basically the most misunderstood car of all time, with its unique look and all. When you drive an Aztek, you know you're gonna be turning some heads. And the best part is, they have a terrible resale value so I could get one for super cheap! If only I could find one to buy...

  4. Personally, I don't drink milk all that often. Two people I know drank it with every meal though and they turned out to be beasts. One of them is 6ft 7in, 285 pounds, and a future potential NFL lineman. The other was 5ft 5 in but was the strongest guy I ever met.

Yes, they were both slightly overweight, but they convinced me that milk does in fact make you grow big and strong. As long as you drink it in moderation or in low fat forms then it really is good for you.

  5. I watched it on and off online when I had free time, while looking at various memes/clips in between episodes. I wasn't obsessed with it though because I didn't really like sitting at my computer all day long, so I watched about an hour or two at most per day.

But everything changed when I found the ponies on Netflix...

  6. Non-fat for me. My mom started buying it so our family could become healthy, and at first I hated it. Now that I've gotten used to it though, I can't stand any other kind because its too heavy and creamy.

  7. I love Adventure Time on Cartoon Network, but nothing beats the original short in my mind

    http://vimeo.com/18048476.

Some of the new episodes can be a little too random, but that's just a small complaint. It is a very funny show that always puts a smile on my face.

One of my favorite things about it is how there are hints about the "Land of Oooo" and its background. For example, the reason Finn is the last human may because the show is about a post-nuclear war apocalypse. Numerous times throughout the show a "Great Mushroom War" (Nuclear War) is mentioned, and when Finn travels into space you can clearly see a large chunk of the Earth is blown away. The only reason Finn survived was because as a baby he was abandoned in a forest that wasn't targeted in the nuclear war, after which he was found by Jake's dad and subsequently adopted.

While little to none of this may actually be true, having little tidbits of info in the show that lead to speculation make Adventure Time that much more interesting for me.

"Studies have shown that if you desensitize your captive wasps to your fingers and hands from an early stage, they will become used to you and not react in an aggressive manor. And, when workers come, the queen's body language around you will influence the workers' behavior too."

So I just watched this and I think it would be amazingly cool to have an army of wasps that protect you, kill spiders, and stuff.

Just imagine, someone breaks into your house and is armed with a gun. They start taking your TV and other valuables while you hide in the bedroom because you are afraid of being shot. All of a sudden, the burglar finds you and slowly levels his weapon at you (he's not wearing a mask for some reason and he can't let you live after seeing his face). All of a sudden, a black cloud rises out of the box in the corner of your room, and begins flying toward the assailant. He tries unloading a few rounds into the swarm, but they just keep coming. Within seconds he is being stung by thousands of your pissed off pet wasps and he collapses in pain while trying to escape.

Would you guys feed a queen wasp in exchange for her hive's servitude, or are you too freaked out by the bugs to have them near you all the time?

  10. Super Smash Bros.

    Buck Bumble

    Pokemon Snap

    Paper Mario

    Glover

    Pokemon Stadium

    Mario Kart 64

    Kirby 64

I was never a big fan of any of the Zelda games on this system. I know that most people think they are some of the greatest games ever but I always found them kind of boring.

  11. CTF: 2Fort

    Capture Points: Fastlane

    Medieval: DeGroot

    Special Delivery: Doomsday

    Attack/Defend: Dustbowl

    Payload: Upward

    Payload Race: Nightfall

    Arena: Nucleus

    KotH: Harvest

    MVM: Decoy

Favorite of all is probably Capture Points - Fastlane. For some reason I do exponentially better on this map, and I can actually kill someone as a scout.

  12. Too bad, but you should think about it again, we could be co-workers! (I´m actually working hard to become a genetic engineer ;))

As cool as it would be to actually be a part of such a complex and interesting field, it probably wouldn't be a great fit for me.

I'm actually majoring in nursing because I like the patient-provider connection and because being a doctor is overrated.

Since you are going to be doing "real science" I'm entrusting you with fulfilling my dreams of creating pokemon and superpowers. Good Luck!

  13. As sad as it is, I'm really scared of all human interaction. It even distresses me a bit just to post stuff on these forums. Sometimes though you've just got to suck it up and face your fears. Bravery isn't being fearless, its being afraid and acting anyway.

I'm also afraid of spiders, but most people are afraid of those.

Based on these two fears, by biggest nightmare would probably be me stuck in a crowded nightclub filled 50% with strangers and 50% with giant spiders. :(
