I can not believe the level of immaturity I presented here. Music has always had its flaws, there are different types for different people. 4 years ago would have stuck to primarily 70s and 80s, now I listen to everything. I especially have gotten into the rap and electronic scene sense then too. Childish Gambino is lit

Enjoy the Silence- Depeche Mode

I listen to both old and new music. Personally, I like the newer stuff better. It's alright if you prefer older music than newer ones. Just don't act like you're superior for your taste in music. Seriously, people like that are extremely annoying! Here's an example of what those nostalgia whiners say:
"Waaaahhhh! I love Pink Floyd! Why can't today's music sound good like this??? I hate my generation!!!11 Today's music sucks! I wanna go back to da 70s!"
If you're gonna complain how today's music "sucks", I guess you should dig deeper into the underground and actually try and find better music made today. I guarantee you'll find something enjoyable. There's more to this generation than mainstream Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj crap.
Besides, even during the 70s and 90s, the so-called "golden ages of music" also had crappy songs too. Not just this decade.
You should probably read my post and tell me what you think.
You sound like the type of people I'm referring to.
You should read my post too.
ya man i made that post close to 2 years ago, to be honest I really do not care anymore more when it comes to music opinions, I listen to everything and respect other opinions now.

Anyone have a link to the episode?

Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Voting Song from the latest episode for some reason, an odd mix to say the least.

I do not normally get chocked up or teary eyed during episodes of MLP or generally anything I have watched in recent years; however, this episode had me really emotional by the end of it especially in the last song when, Applejack, RD, and Rarity all sang their parts in it. I know this sounds cliche but by the end of the episode, I felt like an older brother watching their sibling grow up. This episode was by far one of the best (if not the best) in the whole series and I can not wait to see more episodes involving the CMC and where they go from here.

tfw living in California and enjoying country music
I'm not too fond of modern country, but I do occasional put on some Johnny Cash or Willie Nelson.
Dude, at my school there's a ton of "classic rock" fans. I tend to avoid them (well I avoid everybody actually...) for the sake of not starting an argument with them.
I would probably love your school then because tat is all I listen to, with the exception of some 80s pop music and modern rock

Country that is all the people at my school listen to, but I live in Tennessee so that explains it. I also am not that found of rap or pop music

Freddie Mercury was such an inspirational person and great singer. Queen have to be one of the best British bands ever, I've always been a big fan.
Although now that I think of it, I always liked Nirvana, so Kurt Cobain would be another choice for me, as would Marc Bolan, lead singer of T. REX...
But if I had to choose, I'd go for Freddie. In fact, I might go listen to some Queen now!
if you have you haven't heard this Queen song yet please listen to it, for me it is in my top 5 favorite songs but for you it might be different, its still really good though

i would bring back the GOD of rock music
the one and only FREDDY MERCURY
he is probably one of the most influential singers of all time and my personal favorite singer, and to see Queen at concert would be FUCKIN' AMAZING
My second choices would probably be either Bon Scott from AC/DC or Tupac shakur
I would've love to go back to 1986 to see one of their Wembley concerts or even go back to 1985 to see Live Aid. Freddie Mercury and Queen are AMAZING
