Wait, you spent like 5 pages explaining that Celestia couldn't do anything to Superman, and then you tell everyone she has a chance? ... Or where you making fun of this argument? Listen, after that Death Battle with Superman and Goku (which I thought was fair despite the rabid DBZ fanboys) and ill admit, Superman is a lot stronger than I gave him credit for, and I don't know if Celestia could beat him. I mean, survived a SUPERNOVA... WTF?

I must admit, after that last Death Battle I have a major amount of respect for Superman than I did before. But with your findings I gotta say, that is a really character ability list. But honestly with all that information, I still put Celestia above Superman. Unlike Goku I feel she would see Supermans connection to the Sun and be able to stop him from getting power from it, that and if she wants Superman dead, then she'll most likely start doing the same thing Superman does and get power to her muscles and speed. And a horse is naturally faster and stronger than a Human, plus the added addition of Magic that now can even counteract Discords spells, I think shes fully able to take down Superman.

Damn nice artwork dude, and pretty much how the conflict would go in my eyes... though I doubt Superman would be stupid enough to outright say what powers him still fine job.

I don't think you're giving Celestia enough credit 1. Telekinesis and Strength- She constantly for hundreds of years was able to move the Sun and the Moon around the planet (which it is a planet because Lauren Faust did describe it being a lot like our universe) so she is able to hold the metric ton weight of 1,000,000 earths with relative ease, far more than anything Post-Crisis Superman has ever shown. Plus the fact she is supposed to be far stronger than any normal pony, and seeing how a lot of ponies can punch houses in half, I think she can handle him in a punching match. Though hed have to be holding back 2. Teleportation and Speed- Besides the fact that the Teleportation effect means she could teleport Superman to anywhere she wants (because Twilight demonstrated this with Spike) the fact that she is also supposed to be a much stronger and faster version of the horses, and the Mach Speed sound she made when she got the letter from Spike. It save to assume she is faster Rainbow Dash by a lot. Again it may not match Supermans top speed, but she wont be to defenseless. 3. Magic and Dark Magic- Firstly, that attack she threw at Chrysalis was not a Solar Beam, it was just her color of Magic that looks like the Sun, her magic doesn't have to revolve around one thing. Also Superman's weak to very powerful sorcerers, Celestia is the most powerful Sorcerer in all of MLP because she has access to all spells in the Scroll library, and has 1000 years of training, AND being a Alicorn and the Teacher of Twilight Sparkle and after proving this statement of her being much stronger than Twilight by canceling Twilights spell, so anything Twilight, Luna, Shining Armor, and Cadence and then amplify it. 4. Sun- The they have mentioned numerous times that she is directly connected to the Sun, I would pretty much assume that she is in complete control over it, the same other Gods of the Sun where in olden times. Im putting my money on Celestia also in morals because she is a great leader and doesn't try to steal the spotlight or shine from Twilight or her Friends. Superman isn't a terrible or boring or 1 dimensional character, hes just less likeable than the kind Princess of the Sun.

Just because she isn't omniscient doesn't mean she cant learn about these abilities. If Sleepless in Ponyville is anything to show, Luna and Celestia can enter peoples dreams, and their thoughts. This implies that she could read Supermans mind and find out many of his secrets and weaknesses. Plus the powerful magic at her disposal, despite the fact Superman isn't weak to it, is still enough to bring him down.

Please no, I think this thread will do nicely on the Superman vs. Equestria thing, seeing how this thread no appears to be going on several forums now... I think you just created a new Goku vs. Superman to the ranks... which isn't always a good thing Still I find this thread enjoyable, so why not continue it? I still think Celestia would definitely have what it takes to take Underwear man down, purely on the fact of what you said Luna controlling dreams. Since that episode its easy to see that Luna or Celestia could just knock Superman out with a concussion blast, then just screw around in his head until he's just a pile of mush. That or since Celestia is supposed to be as powerful as the Alicorn Amulet, she could just BFR Supes to death by removing his mouth, or turning his cape to Kryptonite. Yes Superman could always Speed Blitz her to death, but I doubt hed do that at a first resort. Celestia would've killed Chrysalis if she wasn't knocked back, so she'll strike for blood more than Supes will. Sorry, Superdork is gonna find his loss to a bunch of ponies... awesomely powerful ponies, but still.

Well i guess its nice to know that this thread is back. Really feel like everything that needed to be said was said, but i guess we can continue. Really though even if Superman is OP doesnt mean he has to be such a ridiculously powerfu character, its not neeed. And i feel Celestia will win because shes probably a lot smarter and more experienced than Superman. Being over 1000 years old and all.

Doesnt seem like that to me, even at his weakest Superman is still to much for Applejack, to fast for Rainbow Dash, to dazzling for Rarity, to nice for Fluttershy, nd ato out their for Pinkie Pie. Only Twilight stands a chance but shes still to slow.

Yeah i kida disagree, she can be selfish sometimes, but thats the point of the character. None of them are perfect but that why they work.

Suprise is the original design for Pinkie Pie back when he was she was still a story board option. Thats all i really know about at the moment.

Still even then at worst Golden Age Superman could punch a freaking 200 foot dinosaur that was immune to bullets into submission.

Hot Blooded Pinkie is a tumblr that shows Pinkie Pie channeling the power of every over the top anime ever. Shes at least Super Saiyan 4 level in power. She could probably be considered the Pre-Crisis Superman of MLP.

Even Golden Age Superman could stand up to tank missles and NUCLEAR BOMBS so i still dont think its all THAT fair in the grand scheme of this match. John Byrne Superman could be the weakest though so id would say hed stalemate them.

What? Just because i dont think Superman is unbeatable doesnt mean i dont love the character. heck All Star Supermans like my favorite Comic ever. I just like teh character of Celestia because Superman can be a little to stereotypical at times.

Now THIS is a topic i can get into. But i must admit this is gonna be hard. 1.) Mxyzptlk, the guy has way more funny lines and more appearances plus ive always loved old Super Friends episodes 2.) Discord, Mxyzptlk is more of a pest than an actual villian, Discord did more than just annoy Celestia AND 3.) uhhhh... i dont know, Mxyztlk did turn an entire world into the Planet of OZ for a game, but the whole reverse name thing is a bummer (though i did hear that he only used that against Superman so... yeah). Im gonna go with... a TIE since i dont know the limits of there power What do you think?

Well he did say he was doing the weaker versions of Superman. And if its Early Golden Age Superman, its not gonna be that hard for the Ponies to beat him. He couldnt even fly back then.

Well if you put it like that i guess it would be more even. Though i doubt if Superman, if hes affected by the EoH, can get away fast enough to not get turned to stone. Be a nice edition to the garden.

While i can agree with you 100% on B. We do have to be honest here Superman does have a lot more to deal with in terms of real world scenarios. He has to fight people who find murder and dealing pain as a fun actvity, there are a lot of villians in the DC world that you cant talk down to and are just in it for the fun death. Especially characters like Mongul and Darkseid who are just straight up murderers and conquerers of worlds. There comes a time where words fail and knocking a guy out has to be done. At least he doesnt kill . Still i really like Celestia as character more, but Superman is still a great one as well.

Defintley agree on the Magic thing. But we dont really know much about Celestia to really say so. She doesnt have an All Star Superman i mean.

Really... well ill give some credit to the Batman stories they are definitely good. Dont know about the Action Comics one by Morrison (BTW ive read All-Star Superman its pretty damn good) did they get better because i heard they had a rocky start.

Yeah i checked out Superman Annual 10. I dont know the Sword seems kind vague to i looked it up some more. Apparentely it was supposed to make Superman GOD of the DC multiverse. So youd be putting an Omnipotent against the Ponies? That doesnt seem very fair.

What even is the Sword of Superman? What issue was it from? How come ive never even heard of it or even read about it ever in any Superman comics? Scans plz
