    Hi everyone. I enjoy shipping a lot and I have a few questions for anyone who is willing to answer them. 1: What is your favorite ship? 2: When did it become your favorite ship? 3: What do you like about it? 4: Do you have a favorite fanfic about the ship? If so, what is it? I guess I'll start 1: Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie 2: I suppose it was during Griffon the Brush Off, when it seemed like Pinkie had an unusual obsession with Dash and started stalking her. After that when they bonded it was really cute and it won me over. 3: I really like the lightheartedness and freedom of their characters and I just find the pairing to be uniquely adorable 4: Where Your Heart Is, a fic by Cloudy Skies. It's really enjoyable and it made me love this pairing even more

    I agree that Applejack had the best reason, but keep in mind that her plan hinged on making loads of money selling her apple goods at a place that was giving away free food. Perhaps not the best thought out plan

    Ha ha, if anyone needs ponies it would be a jackass like Light. He's essentially the opposite of all the elements of harmony. Imagine if all famous opponents of the show were magically converted overnight... Probably not the ethical thing to do but it is a funny idea

    I think that it has to do with the fact that they are both quiet people and people like the idea of Big Mac protecting Fluttershy. I'm not a huge fan of the ship TBH, but I can understand why some people would like it. I'm not a huge fan of shipping either of them period actually, (Flutterdash is tolerable but it will never surpass Pinkiedash), so I guess I'll support Big Mac and Cherilee. Dimitri and Fluttershy's stallion can have a cage fight to see who ends up with Fluttershy ( as long as the rest of us can watch)

    Well, I'm not convinced all of them are real but I'll give you my thoughts on a few of them. Too Many Pinkie Pies The concept sounds amazing and this could become one of my favorite episodes One Bad Apple I'm pegging this as an Apple Bloom episode, and I'm hoping it isn't because if they give any crusader screen time it should go to the most neglected character in the show: Scootaloo. Magic Duel Yeah, probably the return of Trixie. I have no desire for her to return but I hope it pleases her fans Wonderbolt Academy I'm excited and hyped up for this one especially but also very nervous. I see this playing out in a few ways. 1: They rehash The Last Roundup and Dash loses to most/all of the other competitors, a few people in the comments of EQD were saying that this was an opportunity to give Dash a well deserved humbling (which she already got IN SPADES in The Episode That Must Not Be Named) 2: They rehash Fall Weather Friends, Dash and her mysterious green rival get so wrapped up in the competition that they prove themselves unsuitable for the team. Wouldn't like this either 3: Dash and her rival have a truly epic competition that Dash barely wins. She realizes that joining the Bolts means less time with her friends and after an awesome song she decides to give the spot to her rival and be with her friends. I'd like this 4: they do something completely unexpected and awesome So yeah, really exited for this season

    That's fine, I've never been a fan of Male/Male shipping and I avoid it whenever possible. It's just personal preference. In this fandom though I read almost exclusively F/F shipping, mainly because there are maybe 4 male characters in the entire show and I'm not a huge fan of shipping them.

    Well then... This is certainly the most unique response yet. Although now that I think about it it would be ironic if Sweetie Belle got a rock for a cutie mark, given Rarity's... History with them. I hope none of them have to share a cutie mark with snips though

    I agree completely. I dunno if SoarinDash is ever going to be my favorite pairing but I like it a lot in this. You can tell that they really love each other even if Soarin is deathly afraid of pissing her off XD. Blitzey is amazing, and it makes you feel good to read. Also, sequel incoming! Time to celebrate!

    I'm not a huge fan of it but I've grown to tolerate it over time. A lot of good fics involve it and for some reason people seem to like to kill Dash so I've had to toughen up about it. I'll read it but I prefer stories without it

    My brother and sister thanks to me. They aren't obsessed with it like I am but they are eagerly awaiting season three. It was really fun to rewatch the series with them

    Oregon bronies unite brotha! Good to know that I'm not the only one as well truth be told ha ha. On another note I saw a girl wearing a Rarity shirt in a crowd the other day but she walked off before I could say anything. It sure made my day to see though

    I once heard someone say that one of the best ways to develop a character is to throw them into a situation that they would never be in normally, and then I was thinking, why not make it a game? Take the mane 6, CMC and spike and think of situations that they would not be used to and ones that would be entertaining to watch them deal with. I'm curious to see what we can come up with! Here's all I have for now Fluttershy: Gets put in charge of a large group of people, has to inspire confidence and exert authority in order to make sure something important is accomplished. Applejack: gets the opportunity to land a major customer but has to kind-of suck up to him in order to get him/her. The customer is a canterlot style snob and Applejack would be really uncomfortable jumping through hoops but would feel obligated to in order to get the bits for her family

    While neither character tops my list of favorite characters it is downright silly how underrated they are. I mean, we have people in other threads talking about replacing Applejack with Trixie for crying out loud! How did it come to this? Rarity is the second funniest character on the show for Pete's sake. Being a Rainbow Dash fan, I realize that I'm unable to truly understand your predicament, but if y'all feel anything like I do when someone calls Dash an overrated arrogant jackass then I salute you for putting up with it and staying AJ and Rarity fans.

    I agree with this. I also think that they would need the superhuman physical attributes and connection with the earth to be a true alicorn

    I'd like it if they met colt versions of themselves (because that could only end badly) but yeah, if they were dudes from the beginning it would be a very different show and probably not a better one
