Bronze Statue

oh my dear sweet Luna!!! If I actually had spending money, I'd give it all to this! Too bad I don't have said money, though... Oh well, maybe next time!

(OOC Why? also, I believe this takes place after Sombra is essentially annihilated by the Crystal Heart, the Mane 6, etc, so yeah...) Bronze Statue turned to Brazen Gears, and said "We've been walking for quite some time now. How much farther is your friend's house?" (OOC edit, godmodding much?)

As he was walking to Brazen Gears' friend's house, Bronze Statue pulled out his notepad and a pen, and began to write a letter addressed to the room of hotel that Purplepower was staying in. The letter went as follows For Purplepower: Hi, this is Bronze Statue! If you'd like to come and join Brazen Gears and I on a little adventure later, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. You just seemed a little lonely, so I thought I'd invite you to our little group of friends. Thank You! Sincerely, Bronze Statue. P.S. You can keep the mechanical bird that delivers this message. Bronze Statue then attached the letter to a mechanical bird in his saddlebag and sent it off to Purplepower.

Bronze says, "But at the same time, wouldn't the transmutation of one basic element into another heavier element require fusion, something that an inordinately large amount of energy (more even than the energy of Celestia's Sun) is required for iron? If this water can actually power this change, there is probably a very good reason it hasn't been used. I'm guessing the whole 'death' thing is a pretty big factor here."

(OOC Not only did I read it, but I understood it too. Majoring right now in biomedical engineering) Bronze stopped in his tracks in surprise. "You're looking for a lake that, as far as I can understand, is so powerful that nopony short of Celestia, Luna, and maybe a hoof-full of others can even survive being near?!?!? And I thought I was ambitious. Even if you do find it though, gold is a lot more plentiful than iron in most areas of Equestria. It is a very interesting concept, however, and I would love to help you find the lake and help you with the setup." With that, Bronze Statue continued following Brazen Gears. (OOC @Purplepower If you'd like to join Brazen and I, you're more than welcome. Then, you'll have people to interact with in the RP again.)

Bronze follows behind Brazen towards his friend's house. "I've been working on this for ten years now, and it still doesn't work as well as I'd like. Oh, it works wonderfully to augment strength and all, but that's its secondary function. Its main purpose, flying, is buggy; it doesn't work a third of the time, and when it does work, it responds sluggishly, so it's like you're dragging yourself and the suit through the air. I've tried practically everything I could think of under the sun to fix it, and that's how I ended up here. "As to how I put it together, I started with some rusty old Royal Guard armor pieces and winged it." Really, "winged it?" That was a horrible pun, Bronze thought. "But enough about the suit for now. How did you find yourself here?"

Bronze turns to Rhaïn and says, "Well, my suit stalls about as often as not on its primary function, and it has a very irritating latency issue in its primary function. The secondaries are all fine, though. I could run and get it if you'd like to take a look." With that, Bronze Statue quickly ran off to the hotel, grabbed his suit, and came back. (OOC EDIT: Two full days and no new posts? Where did everyone go? this RP is too much fun to die!)

"Well, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it would be a natural rainbow crystal. I read about them once in the Canterlot library, and it seems like one or two would do the trick. The book was pretty sparse on details, but it said that they came from a long-forgotten land of crystals. When the Crystal Empire reappeared, I immediately thought that this would be the place to find some crystals. By the way, you seem to really know your stuff. Where did you study?" Bronze Statue paused for a few minutes, then said, "Brazen, while I'm not poor, I don't have enough money to stay in that hotel the whole time while I'm here. It's 40 bits a night! If it isn't too much trouble, do you think I could maybe stay with you and your friend? I could get my stuff from the hotel and even give you a demonstration of how my suit works so far." Bronze felt that he had found a kindred spirit in Brazen Gears. (OOC edited to actually reply to Brazen Gears' questions about the crystal)

"Sure, no problem. You're staying at that ridiculously overpriced hotel too, huh?" Bronze Statue rummages though his bag, and pulls out 20 bits. "Here you go. I'm not sure exactly how much that gear costs. I hope that will be enough." Bronze pauses for a second. "Wait, you're a miner? And a pegasus? That's so awesome! Maybe you could help me! I'm looking for a certain type of crystal that could help my flying suit work if I'm right, but I haven't been having any luck in the marketplace. Maybe we could look in a cave or mine for it together! I'm Bronze Statue, by the way. What's your name?" Bronze turns to the other pegasus he was talking to -the one he ran into- and says "If you want, you can come, too!" (OOC Bronze Statue is quite fascinated with pegasi, as is stated on his page.)

"Oh. Ummm, I was just looking for some raw crystals to test a theory about flying machines I came up with. Sorry if I came off as being too outgoing... Nice hood, by the way." Bronze looked at the pegasus. "Say, maybe you could help me! I'm looking for rainbow colored crystals, mainly. If I'm correct, those would have the most magic in them, and I could finally finish my suit!!!"

"Hm, so is everything made of crystal here? That's really something you don't see every day." Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hits Bronze Statue. "Maybe crystals are what's missing in my designs!" See you all later, I've got crystals to get!!!" With that, Bronze Statue dashes out of the restaurant to find someone who sells raw Crystal Empire crystals. He runs headlong into a Pegasus wearing goggles. "Sorry, I was just in a hurry to find something. I'm Bronze Statue, by the way. What's your name?"

Bronze Statue notices somepony new. "Hello, there! How are you this evening? I'm Bronze Statue. What's your name? Where are you from?" Sweet Celestia, I sound like that personality core from that game Luna is obsessed with. What was it again? Ah, it's probably not important.

Bronze said to Star, "Oh. Wow. So, what do yo recommend from the menu? I'd like to try some of the crystal food, but I don't know what's good." Bronze turns to the window and sees... No, it couldn't be. "Hey everypony, is that Twilight Sparkle? I think I recognize her from when I was in school, and I've heard some amazing things about her recently." (OOC, hoping this RP gets something like a plot line or minor quest hook relatively soon.)

"Hi, Purple! I was just about to see if I could eat with Rhaïn and the other ponies would let me sit with them. By the way, the hotels here are rather expensive. 40 bits for just one night, can you believe that???" Bronze Statue sits down at a table nearby to the other ponies. "So Rhaïn, who are all of these ponies again? Some of them seem familiar, but I can't seem to recall their names." Real smooth, Bronze. THAT'S sure to make friends! "Oh, and did anypony hear someone shout 'BUUUUUGLE?' That was almost as loud as the..." Bronze looks around to see if Luna or Celestia is nearby, then whispers, "Royal Canerlot Voice."

You know, I think I'd like some apples right about now. Bronze Statue goes down tot the lobby. "Excuse me, but does anyone know where I could get a bite to eat?" The mare behind the counter says "If I remember correctly, there is a good restaurant down the road. I suggest you try that, sir." Bronze thanks the mare, and heads out for the restaurant. When he gets there, he sees Rhaïn, along with several other ponies. "Hello, again! Can I sit with you guys?" (OOC edited for just a bit more interaction)

Bronze Statue woke up, hearing someone scream what sounded like "BUUUUUGLE!" Well, I'm not getting any sleep tonight. I wonder what all the commotion is. Bronze Statue opens his book: A Brief History of Slendermane. It's always good for a quick read, since it's only eight pages long!

I'll post a bit in between classes when I can, but I just placed my character in a bit of a set path for the rest of the RP's in-game day. I'll meet up with everypony again around breakfast time in-game. The last RP I did was more fast-paced and combat oriented, so this is a very nice change.

Bronze Statue looked around at the hotel room. Well, it's not exactly Fillydelphia or Canterlot, but it should do until I find a home. He began unpacking his bags. Most of them were filled with tools, blueprints, and thick tomes on flight theory. The last bag he unpacked contained his favorite project: his exo suit. "Now, to work," he said, looking at the time. Bronze Statue spent the rest of the day tinkering with his suit, jotting down notes as to how to fix the problems it has. At the end of the day, he fell asleep. (OOC when everyone else ends this day, I will join up with them again. I just needed my character to do something since he left the group for the day.) (OOC the suit is in the character description and doesn't work well yet.)

Bronze enters the hotel and goes up to the front desk. "Excuse me, but I'd like to rent a room for a few days. How much would that be?" "That'll be 40 bits a night," the mare behind the counter replies. Bronze statue reaches into his bag, and counts out 40 bits. Sigh. I probably could find my own apartment for the same amount here, but I guess this' have to do for tonight. he thought. Oh, I should probably ask Purple or one of her friends if they found a cheaper or more permanent place to live when I see them tomorrow. "Your room is number 230 on the next floor up." "Thank you, I'll see myself to my room." Bronze takes the rooms key and his bags, heads to his room, and unpacks.

Thank you so much for understanding! It is really turning out to be an awesome RP, not going too fast, but not stagnating either.

"So, Rhaïn, you can control fire or something?" he asks. "That's amazing! If I could do that, I'd be years ahead in my work!" But then again, if I could do that, I'd probably be drafted into the Royal Guard, he then realized. "Anyways, I think I'd better go get a room at the hotel, but I'll catch up with you guys tomorrow, ok?" He then leaves and heads for the hotel that Star Song mentioned.

He follows the purple pegasus. "So, Purplepower, where are you from? I'm from Fillydelphia, but I haven't been there in quite a while. I'm Bronze Statue, by the way." He turns to Rhaïn. "Nice to meet you. I just got into town. I'm Bronze Statue, engineer extraordinaire."

*sighs* If only I could come up with a halfway decent human OC for this... Oh, well. At least it should be entertaining to read if it gets going and doesn't die.

Bronze Statue trots into town with his bags and suit. This looks like a good place to settle down, he thinks. He looks around and sees a purple pegasus. "Hello, there! I just got into town, and I was wondering if you might be able to tell me if there is a hotel, or somewhere I can stay?" (OOC Edited to be in 3rd person. Sorry Flame Dancer, I mixed up which forum I'm on had which rules about RPs)
