Iridian

(Iridian is an adaptation of one of my oldest sonas!!)

Iridian's growth was stunted as a filly, which disrupted their learning to fly. They were a good few years behind their peers when it came to flight, someone ostracizing the pegasus from the other fillies. On the day they finally tested out of primary flight training, Iridian discovered something incredible. Though they passed the test, their landing was less than perfect, and Iridian found purchase somewhere they didn't expect to land. Traditionally, Spectra, due to it's non-solid form, isn't capable of holding a pony's weight. However, the place Iridian landed was simply a rainbow. It is still unknown why they possess this talent, but their landing earned them their cutie mark and, eventually, a job at the weather factory.

Despite their relatively lonely childhood, Iridian is very cheerful and outgoing. They always enjoy making new friends, and will talk your ear off if you don't stop them. Iridian also possesses a rather sensitive side, their emotions being easily swayed and driving many of their actions. They are easily susceptible to criticism and insults, and many of Iridian's friends have learned to hold their tongue before figuring out how to better navigate their feelings.
