King Lavan [Au Reboot]

Lavan was born and raised in Klugetown, which at the time, was founded by his mother and father.

Celestia and Luna, who were just chosen to rule Equestria, traveled to keep trades and business going between the town and Canterlot. Lavan had taken a liking to Celestia, eventually developing feelings for her.

He ended up running away to escape the pressure of becoming mayor due to his parents wishes, and that led to the fall of the town and distrust between its residents, as those with little skills and greedy motives were given the role in office instead.

It was then that he had found what powers he held and the things he was capable of. He had found a few friends -dragons- that were in awe with him harnessing the power to naturally hold fire with his bare hands. He let their praise and compliments get to his head, and eventually betrayed them, leaving them to fend for themselves on the streets, or using his powers against them.

He traveled to find his purpose in the world, only to stumble upon Grogar's bell after the raft he had created had landed in the Realm of Darkness. He took it, only to find a new strange land, and a load of opportunities ahead of him. Finding out the strange land -Tambelon- was abandoned, Lavan took over and spruced it up, making it home to creatures of flame like him, such as the phoenix, fire serpents, and many more.

Eventually, he created sentient fire beings, and let the rank and title he showed off take over. He believed friendship was power, and could be used to gain just that.
Tambelong -along with Lavan- was hidden for thousands of years under a spell cast by the two sisters. Nopony could see it with their own eyes, and it required a spell that could see through a cloaking one.

After the curse wore off, Lavan traveled to Canterlot, declaring war on Equestria. He was blinded by his thirst for revenge and power.

After a few years of trying to conquer Equestria, he was defeated by Calamity and her new friends. Although not completely defeated, it was enough to weaken him and drain some of his power. It was then that he feared every attack that was thrown at him, and tried to escape.

He asked for mercy, and although Calamity's friends were ready to finish him off, she realized that killing him would make them just as terrible as the villains who have done harm to ponykind throughout all of history. They were all still wary, but Calamity was usually never wrong. So, they decided to listen to her, even if they didn't trust Lavan one bit.

His first step of redemption included apologizing to the towns and cities he had taken over in Equestria so far, and to offer help to fix them. It took months, but everyone was truly grateful, even if they were still frightened.

After doing all he could to gain the trust of those he hurt, some still didn't believe he could ever change. Although he had already helped somewhat, he even started to believe there wouldn't be anyone who would trust him, no matter what he did or how many years went by.

He decided to visit an old friend; Celestia. Even if she didn't trust him like she used to, it was still worth a shot, he believed.

While he may appear intimidating and frightening, he's got a heart of gold deep down. He's still got a soft spot somewhere for Celestia, even if he fears that fact.

He's a total goofball, usually always tripping over his own feet or running into something. He tends to get really nervous in huge crowds and has never attended a single party in his entire life.

Lavan is a demon who so happened to inherit the power of being able to manipulate and control fire and crystals at his own will.
His face also appears as if lava or some sort of similar ooze is seeping out from his eyes, but it's just a birthmark.

He's a few feet taller than Princess Celestia, roughly around the same height as Discord.
