Starfall Brigade is an Earth Pony who lived within a small village right at the edge of the White Tail Woods called Moon's Canvas. He used to explore the woods as a colt, finding the woods' creatures and vegetation interesting. As he grew, his confidence and thirst for knowledge caused him to venture deeper and deeper each time. He once wandered too far and became lost. His fear and shouting caused a stray timberwolf from the nearby Everfree Forest to attack. He ran but was cornered by the beast, only surviving when Prince Bramble of the local deers fought the wolf and destroyed it. Starfall was led home by the prince and was told to be more careful. The deer gave the colt a compass and told him to never lose his way.
This incident created Starfall's obsession with maps and exploring. He later formed a strong friendship with the prince and became his student. Years of harsh training taught Star how to defend himself against the monsters of the wild and how to survive when you have little to live off on. After one lesson which was on how to escape a cave without a light, he ended up finding a gem vein and this incident caused Starfall's obsession with treasure. After one last fight against the then king, Starfall proved his worth and was given the position of an honorary Deer. Once he was old enough to leave his home he decided he wanted to explore Equestria and beyond, maybe even make a map on his findings or hunt down some treasure. His secondary reason for leaving home is his odd fault of never having gained a cutie mark and wanting to find his destiny in the world.
Starfall is childish and sarcastic, easy pushed but quickly calms down and thoughtful in combat preferring to run than fight. Well aware of his limitations, Star prefers talking to fighting and usually turns to jokes as a way to coop with situations. After the years of traveling alone, he prefers being by himself as he is afraid of his lack of people skills but is quick to help anyone should they seem to need it. He tries to befriend others should they be open to it and has a tendency to ramble when afraid.
