Backstory:

Stray Trotter abandoned her land at an age probably too early to be without an adult, leaving on a journey to explore Equestria in all of its wondrous glory. She doesn't really like to talk about her past life there, on account that there's nothing left for her there anymore. Instead, she looks forward towards the future, eager to learn about the land's rich history and myths. She's been across countless places, and met many creatures on her travels. She's alone most of the time, so when she DOES come across other creatures, she's usually eager to make friends.

Trotter has been traveling since she was a small filly, and because of that she's very much childish, especially for her age. Despite going on a long journey one might call soul searching, she has yet to find her calling. That doesn't stop her form having a good time though.

Her mother was a Saddle Arabian, and her father was an earth pony, though her grandmother was a pegasus, resulting in her wings. However, she never got the chance to learn how to fly properly, since her parents didn't have any wings. She's a surprisingly weak flyer. She is however, a very adept fighter and surviver. She was often taken out by her mother to camp out in jungles or deserts to learn how to live in nature. On her travels, she learned how to fight and survive. Sometimes, she takes ponies who offer to hire her for her services as a guide through wilderness, but it's so rare since she's not really well known.

She always speaks fondly of her family, but never really wants to talk about why she left. It's best to leave that topic alone, for she gets a distant look in her eyes when the topic of her family is brought up.

(Spoilers)

One day, she decided to try and camp out on her own, not telling her parents. She was wondering why her mother, who usually knows where she runs off to, didn't come to look for her but she payed it no mind. When she came back from her overnight trip, her small village was gone, wiped out, burnt to the ground mysteriously. She thinks it might be a dragon, but she doesn't know for sure. She regrets that adventure itch ever since, for now she has no home to return to. She travels not because it's fun, but because she has no choice.

Personality:

Childish, pushy, naive, and adventure loving, Trotter is always one to have a good time. She's not used to staying in one place, and is always moving across the country. She aims to learn and see all of the places this rich land has to offer.

She's always eager to learn new things, and despite her athletic appearance and nature, she can often be found in libraries studying and reading about history. It's not often she has the chance to read books, so when she stops in a city, she will always make some time to read up.

If ever Stray finds a friend in the dumps, she'll do her best to cheer them up. In fact, it might make things worse. She has no idea what personal space is, and might pressure them into telling her what is wrong, and do whatever she can to make it right.

Despite her bright personality, she's incredibly lonely by nature, and can be a bit of a pony pleaser to try and make friends. She might be one of those ponies that might try to hang out with you too much. Thankfully, she's never in one place for long if you ever get tired of her. However, she is loyal to a fault. If you try to get rid of her by fooling her, like asking her to stay some place and saying you'll be back, she'll stay there for a worryingly long time.

Physical Description:

She's a bit taller than other ponies because of her mother, but other than her foreign features, she's pretty much the same as a pony. a little shorter than a colt, but taller than a mare.

She's covered in scars from scuffles on her journey, and often has a tan cape on her back, covering her wings and flank to hide the fact that she can't fly or hasn't found any cutie mark. It's not that she's embarrassed, it's just easier to have people not ask her the same question of why doesn't she fly in certain situations, or to be surprised by a blank flank and ask repetitive questions.

She's very boyish, and could be mistaken for a boy, which she won't stop you if you do make that mistake. she'll just roll with it.

Likes: Adventure, books, history, mythology, food, free food, delicious food, anything edible and delicious.
Dislikes: Rain, inconveniences in travels, cats.
Key Moments:

Camping as a filly, Leaving her home, near death experience during a certain storm, scuffles with animals, finding her first all you can eat buffet (heaven for her)

Reality (Generation): Generation 4
