  • , No, Tier-2 Young mare

Trixie's coat is a solid blue from her head to her hooves, while her mane and tail are a lighter blue streaked with white. Her eyes are a soft purple, and her eyebrows are fairly pronounced. During performances she typically wears a purple wizard's hat and cape studded with plenty of stars.

Trixie is boastful and proud; trademarked by the way she typically carries herself on the stage and in front of other ponies. Her confident smile stands out as she performs her various illusions and tells the stories of adventures here and there. As such she can come off as cocky and arrogant; which she doesn't mind one bit. As a mare of the stage she has to act as such to capture the attention of the audience.

On the inside she is a mare of deep insecurities. Preferring to travel alone, she finds company in the various books, trinkets, and decorations that line out her trailer. She loves the thrill of the show and the adoration of the crowd, but she also fears rejection. In fact her greatest fear is to be humiliated, and as such if she feels hurt enough she can seek out ways to get back at the pony who she feels humiliated her.

She does have a tender side, and she can warm up with others if given the chance to know them and get over her insecurities. As much as she prefers to travel alone, she can enjoy company from time to time. She struggles with balancing these two sides, and can easily fall to her negative thoughts. If given the chance her brighter side can shine through.

Trixie grew up in Canterlot with a family that included six foals; all of her siblings being colts. Her parents, while supportive, gave more attention to her brothers who were more athletic or strong in their use of magic. As such, Trixie had minor issues with abandonment, though she did grow a close attachment to one of her younger brothers. When tucking him away to bed she would often tell him stories of far off lands and great heroes. As such, over the years she grew a talent for story-telling; however her magic was never really anywhere near as powerful as her brothers.

She wanted to change that and attempted to sign up for Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns for training, but dropped out after losing interest in the amount of studying required. Add to the fact that news of Celestia choosing a protege hurt her confidence. She dreaded returning home, but knew she had little other option. On the way home she came across a traveling performer pony who had a small crowd gathered around him. Wondering closer, she heard him telling stories and animating the characters with his magic.

She was stunned; the magic itself wasn't particularly impressive, but it's execution, style, and integration with the story blew her away, and it gave her an idea. Memories of the stories that she told her brother flooded back, and she wanted a crack at it. On her way home, she devised a plan that she hoped would earn her the adoration of her family and, in doing so, would show her the way to success.

Not only did it work, she also gained her cutie mark from the excitement. As such the family was so enthusiastic they pushed her into the spotlight quickly; purchasing her a fancy wizard hat and cape to accentuate her talent. From small crowds wowed by a young filly on the streets to large audiences gathering around a trailer purchased by her parents she captured the audiences of ponies with her stories. As time went on, as her stories became more grand, her ego grew along with them. As such she began to call herself The Great and Powerful Trixie, and had developed a stage style of speaking where she would refer to herself in third person. With most audiences it was assumed to be part of her act, but not every experience was the same.

The first major stumbling block came when she arrived in Ponyville one day. Everything started off just fine; she performed tricks, told a harrowing story of her bravery, and even demonstrated to a few pathetic ponies that she was not to be trifled with. Thanks to the antics of two colts an Ursa Minor attacked the town and destroyed her trailer. Thanks to the powerful magic of one Twilight Sparkle the beast was silenced, rocked to sleep, and levitated back to it's cave. The sight brought back memories of her brothers and her parents adoration of them. In jealous and hurt desperation she ran off in a cloud of smoke away from Ponyville; silenty swearing revenge on the purple unicorn that humiliated her.

Upon reaching Canterlot in a mess, she rented an apartment; ashamed to let her family see her as such. After losing everything that was in her cart she purchased a hooded garment and spent some time studying on magic and, specifically, dark magic. She learned of the Alicorn Amulet; an amulet that would grant it's wearer powerful magic. Revenge and humiliation clouding her judgement, she researched the location of the amulet, and made a dash to the store to purchase it with the income she earned as a performer.

On her return to Ponyville she challenged Twilight to a magic duel, and won. After banishing her from the town she enclosed it in a magic bubble and essentially ruled over the town in a way that fit her ego. However, unbeknownst to her the amulet was taking control of her and making her a lot more cruel than she normally would've been. After a short while Twilight returned with Zecora to challenge her. Thanks to her careful use of illusions Twilight won and was able to take the Alicorn Amulet from Trixie; hiding it away for good.

Humbled Trixie sought forgiveness; which was quickly granted by Twilight. Vowing to remain humble Trixie rode off in another cloud of smoke. Over time she would perform the shows as she had done in the past; her showmanship showing off as it always had, and while she was still confident and boastful off-stage; she was learning to control it. Thanks to her income and the help of her family she was able to purchase another trailer, as well as another costume essentially the same as the previous. In the end Trixie is all about illusion and storytelling, and she continues to wow crowds with that.

Trixie also goes by the name Trixie Lulamoon.

While her magic isn't powerful, it is defined by it's precision, it's use of color, and general creativity. She can't use magic like more powerful unicorns, but that wasn't it's intended purpose. She is an illusionist and storyteller; her magic is stage magic and is more for show than power.
