Mane six age
StormJumper is a tan/light brown Pegasus with off-white hooves and muzzle. Her eyes are maroon, and her mane and tail are white (closer to grey-blue on lowlights). Her tail is long, but her mane is short and somewhat unkempt.
Her eyes are shapes like TS's
However, as she began following her friends out, one of the weather Pegasi was thrown out of the storm and injured himself via bad landing. This caused the storm to grow out of control, scaring her friends and other evacuees. SJ leapt into action. Angry, she flew headlong into the storm and managed to help the other Pegasi destroy it. She was injured multiple times by flying debris, but she didn't care once she discovered her cutie mark.
The mark itself is a tornado with something small encircling it--it symbolizes StormJumper's talent for taming storms and holding them at bay. She got her cutie mark late in life, (the pony equivalent of teen-hood,) much to the amusement of other fillies. However, once she earned it, she was proud to represent it and didn't feel any resentment towards those who called her a blank flank. She feels empowered by her talent, and thinks very highly of it.
StormJumper has come to understand the value of kindness, even if one was not treated kindly in their past...
She was made fun of by others from a young age and, because of that, put up emotional walls and developed a hair-trigger temper. It was at about this point in her life when somepony confronted her about this temper, realizing that Storm was emotionally hurt and naturally kind. He convinced Storm that breaking down her emotional walls would lead her to happiness and love.
And it did.
So, more recently, Storm is a kindhearted pony who is more than willing to stand up for those who are hurt. She is energetic and bombastic, and she puts her own needs aside for the greater good. She likes exploring wild fantasies in her imagination, which is why she gets along so well with her storytelling friend, Amber Dust.
Sometimes she comes on a little strong, just out of the sheer force of her energy and joie de vivre. She has a very special place in her heart for her friend, Plum Pudding (see backstory), and would do anything for her. Although her temper has gotten better, she still gets mad and defensive if ponies make fun of her friends. Old habits die hard, after all. She won't hesitate to get violent if she needs too.
Storm is usually energetic, but she is more than capable of sitting in silence with her friends or getting lost in thought when she's by herself. Her daydreaming has gotten her in trouble at times. She never really thought of herself as "beautiful", but she has a natural charisma about her that others find magnetic...but intimidating. Storm can be flirty at times, if she finds the specific type she likes.
Likes: Bullies, unfairness in general, fog, bad smells and other environmental things that may affect her. (Poor air quality, for example, seems to bother her more than others on an emotional level.)StormJumper was, unfortunately, abandoned as a baby and wound up spending a good chunck of her choldhood in an orphanage. Her young parents weren't happy with their child, and didn't want one to begin with...although Storm doesn't know that. Her peers tried to convince her that she was abandoned because of her unusual coat, and her broken wings (they developed rather slowly). Because of this, Storm felt a resentment for her parents and adults in general during the majority of her stay at the orphanage.
Storm was bullied by a certain pony in the orphanage and she took it very personally, putting up emotional walls and using her temper as a defence to stop ponies from approaching her. This is when a new part-timer at the orphanage (who Storm later learnt to be one of Amber's brothers,) started talking to her and warning her about what her temper might do for her future...at first, Storm ignored his advice, believing he didn't really know her, but it wasn't long after that when she started having guilty dreams about it...
It wasn't until Storm saw another orphan, Plum Pudding, being pushed around by the same bully that she acknowledged the pony's words and realized that the bullies' insults didn't mean anything. She stood up for Plum Pudding, putting her intimidating temper to good use, and the two quickly became friends. It was all good from then on. She no longer let bullies bother her, and she let her kind nature out, no longer afraid of being hurt or taken advantage of. Her wings even grew in, and she became very proficient with them.
Soon after meeting Plum, another great friend entered her life, by the name of Amber Dust. Storm loved Amber's grand family, and she really wished Amber's parents would just adopt her already--but that never happened.
She still spent a lot of time at Amber's house, and Amber was an expert at cheering Storm up when she began feeling sad or pressured. Amber acted like a beacon of hope in Storm and Plum's turbulent lives.
Storm was eventually adopted by a somewhat eccentric Pegasus family who seemed rather interested in her "beauty marks".
Currently, Storm is living in Cloudsdale and working in a special mobile division of weather patrol. Her specialty is storms, so she's sent wherever there may be one in order to supervise and organize response teams where local ones are lacking--meaning she moves around a lot, especially during the Winder and Spring seasons. She's found herself near Ponyville recently, the home of her two childhood friends.
She was originally intended as a background character in Amber's life, hence the somewhat clichéd backstory. It was edited somewhat for EQE.
She's secretly a really great singer, but she doesn't know it.
It was Amber's brother who convinced Amber to visit the kids in the orphanage and befriend them.
Amber's brother was volunteering at the orphanage to read to the kids. He told Storm the stories of Princess Luna, and Storm, feeling she could relate, began to revere her. She was shocked to hear that Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon were the same pony, and this transformation helped drive home the idea of not letting anger build up inside her.
Storm's dreams had Luna in them, echoing his advice and warnings, but it wasn't the real princess...just a psychological manifestation. Luna was she was still banished when Storm was young. She's never told her friends of these dreams.
Storm really wants to meet Luna.
