  • Acrylic Flare

    Derpyderpderp

    • Age: 20

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Cutie Mark: Acrylic Flare's cutie mark is a orange paintbrush with fire on the tip. He got it when he sold his first painting at Canterlot's art gallery.

Personality: Acrylic does have a more formal attitude, (as expected for somepony who grew up in Canterlot), but never comes off as snobbish. He is relatively generous, but not to the point where his generosity can be abused. Acrylic is also a bit shy, but very trusting toward his friends.

Backstory: Acrylic Flare grew up as an only child in Canterlot. His mother began working at the Canterlot Art Gallery when he was five, and his love for painting sparked. He became extremely interested in looking at art, meeting painters and attending art shows. His mother noticed his strong interest, and bought him a large canvas and a multi-colored paint kit. Acrylic ended up painting all day long, every day. He became inspired by everything, everywhere. It wasn't until he was twelve when he realized that painting was how he wanted to spend his life. Acrylic traveled to Ponyville for a week to visit his aunt and uncle. He loved Ponyville's laid back attitude and colorful people, but what he loved the most was the view of Canterlot at night. The lights and colors of the nocturnal city was the most most beautiful thing in the world to Acrylic. So Acrylic stayed up very late into the night to paint a picture of it. On his last night in Ponyville, at one in the morning, he finished his magnificent painting. His parents found him the next morning, still outside, slouched over his painting, fast asleep. When they returned to Canterlot, Acrylic put his painting up for sale in the art gallery. As soon as it was put up for sale, a passerby asked who had painted such a magnificent picture. He was surprised to learn that it was painted by such a young pony, and bought it without hesitation. Acrylic felt extremely happy; someone liked his art! Enough to buy it! Without knowing it, an orange paintbrush lit on fire appeared on his flank. Acrylic continued to paint for the rest of his life, and it became both his hobby and his job. He moved to Ponyville when he was eighteen, because he wanted a more quiet life.<br />
