MagicalStarRain
    • Age: 16

      Gender: Female

      Species: Non-Pony

Appearance: Akari is a human with slightly tanned skin, a slender frame, and dark brown hair that goes down to the middle of her back. Her bangs are short and uneven and they cover her forehead. She also has green eyes.

She wears a sleeveless top that comes with a black hood. It's also blue with white streaks that forms a star in the center of the top. On her arms are sky blue arm warmers that gets wider toward the wrists. Akari wears black shorts that goes down to above her knees and also wears a brown belt. She wears grey tennis shoes with white socks that only go up to her ankles.

Personality: Akari is a reserved individual at first who says little and prefers to keep to herself. However, she's actually pretty smart and kind and cares for her friends once you get to know her. She isn't the most positive person you'll meet in a dangerous or gloomy situation though.

She is normally seen drawing something or reading a good book. It's embarrassing for her to receive a compliment on anything, but she gets pretty happy from it.
Backstory: Akari had gained the Keyblade when she was just five years-old from a wandering Keyblade master. She had forgotten about it since then, but the ultimate power of the ancient weapon slept inside her for many years, just waiting to be awakened at the perfect moment.

Akari was just a normal high scholar who had a decent amount of really good friends and high grades. Nothing uneventful unless you count the days when her classmates decides to be mean to her or her buddies or anything that really isn't out of the ordinary.

Until the day when she began to see moving shadows. And when she began to have strange thoughts.

Akari simply dismissed them as unimportant at first, but after a while they began to bother her. Just, what the heck is going on? These can't be normal shadows. Not only that, there was rumors of people just turning into shadows then disappearing.

And what are these things she's thinking of? Door? Light? Darkness? Key? Are these words significant in anyway? Could they be connected to the strange stuff happening lately?

That evening, they appeared. As she was making her way toward home, a bunch of bug-like shadows appeared in front of her. Only difference was that they had yellow eyes that had no pupils. And they were lunging toward her like a predator preparing to catch its prey.

"What are you? Stay back!" She got into a fighting stance and crossed her arms in front of her face to protect herself.

She was prepared to feel claws, but instead she saw a dark place and a stained glass floor that formed stars and waves in various shades of blue and purple. A strangely familiar voice then resounded in the room.

"You are close unlocking a new power. One that only the strong-hearted can wield. One that originates from ancient times."

Akari looked around for the source of the voice. There was nobody in the room. Only a teen alone on a pillar covered with stained glass designs. And that teen is herself. "Who are you? Where are you?" she asked.

"A person from your past. Now choose one: strength, defense, or magic?"

"That doesn't really answer my question but, um... magic?"

At the sound of her answer, the pillar shattered and she began to fall. But seconds later, she was back in reality.

Only this time, there was a strange sword in her hand.

"What the-" she then sidestepped out of the way of a creature's attack. Now caring only about her safety, she began to battle them. At first, she just slashed at them wildly, but then the incantations for three spells came to mind and she called them out, casting Fire, Thunder, and Blizzard on them with surprising ease. Eventually, she defeated the creatures.

What she didn't realize though was that her world had begun to break apart and get blown toward the sky. Akari rushed over to her friend's house, only to see a family of shadow creatures in their place. They attacked her with no hesitation and she defeated them with mostly magic. "Where did they go? Where did they go?!" After that, she was swept out into the sky and she blacked out. The last thing she saw was her home in chunks of land and the people she knew getting devoured.

"My friends, my home... No way..."

A few minutes later, she woke up on a sidewalk in Traverse Town. She saw no one and was left with nothing but memories and a combination of guilt and the desire to fight. The key-stream-like thing that she had fought those creatures off with was gone.
