Personality: A reformed villain. After undergoing a great change, Aksel is now altruistic, kind-hearted, and gentle. He makes friends wherever he can and takes great pleasure in the simple things Equestria has to offer. Taking a stroll under the sun and talking to other ponies is his idea of the perfect day.

Backstory: Aksel was born evil and tossed into a world of good. A thousand years ago, he was a unicorn. He roamed Equestria as a vagabond, surviving on what he could find or steal. He was rescued from the streets by none other than King Sombra, who sought Aksel's hidden talent for Dark Magic to rule the Crystal Empire. Sombra's plan worked perfectly, and Aksel had been a vital part of it.<br /><br />During his time with Sombra, Aksel learned that he was born of Tartarus as an immortal. Struggling with his evil nature, Aksel served until Sombra began to show his true colors. Upon realizing how deeply wicked Sombra had become, Aksel abandoned him to the impending wrath of Celestia and Luna. He watched the battle between Sombra and the princesses, and narrowly escaped the curse that followed.<br /><br />Alone and broken, Aksel went to the princesses, begging forgiveness for the terrible things he had done. To atone, he asked them to use the Elements of Harmony to banish his Dark Magic and take his horn, making him an Earth pony. He knew that without his magic, he would never be able to hurt anyone again. The princesses strip him of his power, but his cutie mark doesn't change with the rest of him. Before, the tesseract was a symbol of his Dark Magic. Now it's a symbol of his transformation.<br /><br />For years, Aksel was desperate to live a good, ordinary life. Now he finally has his wish.
