• Age: 27

      Gender: Male

      Species: Pegasus

Cutie Mark: Alabaster's cutie mark is a an ace of spades with a shadow, which appeared when Alabaster found that he had a knack for dealing cards without fingers.

Personality: Alabaster is a care-free fun-loving blackjack-dealing pony who doesn't let anything keep him down. An optimist from the start, Alabaster has always used jokes to keep himself afloat. Alabaster resorts to making fun of himself to feel better about his problems. A prime example: his legs.
Alabaster is a major show-off, trying to impress ponies any chance he gets. Sometimes, his showing off gets in the way of his job, and he has gotten himself into quite a bit of trouble because of this.
Alabaster isn't athletic, and hates physical activities in general.

Backstory: Alabaster was born into a poor family with 2 older siblings. He was born with a defect that caused the muscles in his back legs to weaken over time. Without many bits to the family name, he had to learn to fly pretty quickly, because walking was out of the picture. He earned his cutie mark relatively late. His oldest brother, Vernyx, bought him a deck of cards for his 12th birthday. After messing around for a few days, Alabaster earned his cutie mark when he demonstrated his ability to quickly shuffle and deal cards. When he was about 16, Alabaster dropped out of school to focus on his job, in an attempt to support his family. For 3 years, he worked in a factory in Cloudsdale, slowly saving to receive proper medical care. At age 19, Alabaster's father died, leaving him his old watch, and 500 bits. With this extra money, Alabaster purchased a home in Ponyville, and had back hoof braces fitted for him. He got a job where he could fully harness his ability- blackjack dealing.
