Appearance: Aleya's coat is a light orange, while her long curled mane and tail are a hot pink with a cream-colored streak. She has a black ribbon tied to one of her hair strands into a bow.

Her name means "ghost light".

The mare's eyes are a light lime and glow in the dark. She has no big eyelashes, but they're visible.

She seems to attract fireflies, for she is constantly surrounded by them.
Cutie Mark: It consists in an orange ball of light surrounded by smaller ones.

It is bestowed upon her because she is a guide through the dark marshes at night for lost ponies.
Personality: As her name suggests, she is much like a ghost: she speaks softly, moves with barely any sound, expressionless at times, but Aleya nevertheless is friendly and polite. She tends to give no more than a friendly smile to strangers, but does get overprotective over the marshes she lives in, especially if it threatens her favorite animal, the firefly.

*She's attracted to glows and sparkles
*She rarely opens up to ponies, but is playful and tends to speak out any thought that goes through her mind when she does.
*She fiddles with her mane when she's feeling nervous or shy.
*When she does talk, she speaks in a sing-song way.
Backstory: Aleya used to live with her parents in Ponyville, where she would get harassed for her odd attraction towards fireflies in the summer and her eerily glowing eyes. Soon afterwards, when she grew up, she moved to the marsh's heart, where she could rest from her teasing companions. Soon she learned each pathway, nook and cranny of the place, along with its habitants.

She began to notice ponies would often get lost in the marshes, so she would go right up to them in the dark of the night, surrounded by fireflies, and guide them out the marsh, that is, if they're not too afraid of a pair of glowing eyes creeping silently towards them.

Her house lies in the middle of the marsh. It is a humble stone cottage with a porch and chimney. Most of her belongings are old, from years past. She still uses a gramaphone and a cast iron stove. Her living room is filled with sepia portraits of her family, but cheered up by vases full of the marsh's flowers and reeds.

When she's not at home, she's in Ponyville selling what she calls "marsh pie" in a cart, along with several other classic flavored pies, such as cherry and pecan.
