Appearance: Alice has a light grey coat and a black mane and tail, with green eyes, and her mane is always tied up in a bun behind her head.

Cutie Mark: It is a letter from four ancient languages, representing her historic knowledge and her special ability.

Personality: Alice is usually serious when it comes to work, but she absolutely loves her younger siblings, and will do anything to satisfy them.<br /><br />As a filly, Alice was the leader. Her younger sisters and brother relied on Alice's judgement. And because of this, Alice is quite the leader.

Backstory: Alice was born to a wealthy family that lives on an estate outside of Canterlot, in a rather large home. She is the oldest of 3 other siblings, Candela, Daisy, and River Bank.<br /><br />As fillies, they loved venturing into the woods surrounding their home, and with the help of their father, erected a tree house in the tallest oak tree they could find. Farther in the forest, they discovered the ruins of a library, and use to play all kinds of different games within the ruins.<br /><br />As they grew older, they became more mature and stopped playing their games. Alice went off to work as a professor in a very prestigious Canterlot university, reluctantly leaving her family behind.<br /><br />As a professor, she taught history and geology, and was one of the more popular professors. The students loved her, and she loved the university, but she missed her home. She missed her family. Eventually she did earn breaks as she grew older, and she spent the most time possible with her family.<br /><br />--(How She Got her Cutie Mark)--<br /><br />Deep in the ruins, traces of old civilizations could be found. Broken pots, wealth, and art and writing on the walls. Alice and her siblings were fascinated, although Daisy did seem more interested in the plant life.<br /><br />They spent hours pretending they were kings and queens of ancient times, showering eachother in the rusted coins and taking turns being either servant or royalty. They tried to rebuild parts of the ruin, although their efforts were usually in vain.<br /><br />The writing on most of the walls had worn away, leaving just small scratches in the rock. But, in one section, the writing was perfectly preserved, and after hours spent, Alice found out she could understand the writing!<br /><br />Thus, her Cutie Mark appeared, and it was discovered that she could decode many languages, even though they stood, forgotten, for millenia.
