Appearance: She has a wavy brown mane with purple streaks, and her long wavy brown tail has a purple band that ties it together. Her body is a lighter brown then her mane, and she has brown spots on her rump. She also has dark purple bracelets on her front leg.

Cutie Mark: Her Cutie Mark is a Brown and green kite with a dark violet colored string.

Personality: Amethyst Dawn is a quiet and sophisticated pony who prefers to spend all her time reading instead of going to have fun with friends, even though she has very few. She enjoys dressing up in pretty dresses and spends some amount of her daily life trying on cute outfits at the nearest boutique.<br /><br />Sometimes, though, you will see Amethyst Dawn crack a little bit out of her shell and she will become a lot more friendly to other ponies, and if she becomes good, or even best friends, she is very bubbly and encouraging, a great pony to have as a friend.

Backstory: Amethyst Dawn grew up in large city, where she lived with her mother, father, and her sister, Sapphire. She eventually decided to explore new places, and her parents agreed she could on one condition-taking Sapphire with her. <br /><br />Amethyst Dawn was devastated when she found out she had to lives with JUST her annoying younger sister, but because of her want to move away out of the big city, she accepted her parents offer, and took the little filly with her. At first, she didn't know where to go, so she lived in an apartment in the same place for a month. <br /><br />But then, one day Sapphire found that there was a ranch that was for sale, and it was in Amethyst's budget. So she ran it up to her older sister who, happily, bought the plot and moved there immediately.
