      Gender: Female

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: She has a light yellow body, and is average height. Her mane is light purple with a pink-ish/purple-ish strip down it, long, and hangs straight down by her face. Her tail is similar in appearance except that it's slightly wavy.

Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a spell book, symbolizing her talent to write and discover new spells.

Personality: Amethyst is very serious about learning magic, but is very shy and doesn't talk much to any pony. She often struggles with anxiety, worrying obsessively that she isn't doing well enough in her studies or that she'll mess up in conversation with other ponies.

Backstory: Amethyst was originally a human, living a regular life in the human world. She loved science, and school was most of her life. However, one day at 14 years old, she found herself as a young unicorn in the middle of the ever free forest. She could not remember what had happened, nor much about where she had come from as most of her knowledge about the human world had turned into knowledge about this new world. She wandered around the forest until nightfall, when she came across a hut inside of a tree. Tired, weary, and shocked by what had happened, she hesitantly knocked on the door. A zebra who identified herself as Zecora answered the door, surprised to find the young unicorn outside. Amethyst nervously explained what she could about exactly what had happened, but unfortunately it wasn't much. After letting Amethyst stay with her for the night, the next morning Zecora took her to Twilight Sparkle. Unfortunately, Twilight was unable to find a reason for what had happened to Amethyst, nor a way to find where she had come from. But with Amethyst having nowhere else to go, and Twilight having caught a glimpse of her eagerness to learn, Twilight took her in as a student. Amethyst immediately loved learning magic, and it was very helpful that her knowledge of science had been turned into knowledge of magic. Amethyst soon adjusted to this new world, but would always feel homesick for a world she could not remember.
