Appearance: Apple Oak The Shadow Dragon is black, with a purple mane he changed to look like Applejack's. He's a shapeshifter, and the Shadow Dragon of Love, so he can look however he wants or however his friends want.

Cutie Mark: A purple Sharingan. It's not a real Cutie Mark, and it glows when he uses his Shadow Dragon abilities.

Personality: Oak The Shadow Dragon has a cheerful, energetic personality and his love of competition and new things. He will eat anything, but loves Apples most of all. He has remarkable intuition at seeing the good in others in spite of their actions, even though he often seems stupid. Oak can also be very blunt, and he's not afraid to express his opinion or call something dumb stupid. Despite his kind-hearted nature, Oak can feel incredible anger in cases of extreme turmoil, and his incredible memory makes him surprisingly vengeful. He has a simple, practical view of the world and is somewhat naive to the world around him. Because of this, many incorrectly assume him to be somewhat stupid, although once he has a basic understanding of things, he learns very quickly.<br /><br />Oak thinks very highly of the Apple Family, and thinks very little of his real family, the Shadow Dragons. He refuses to be a part of their prophecy, and rejects all the evil powers his Shadow Dragon heritage gives him. Except for the shapeshifting ability and the ability to command and create Changelings and love easily (He can only command Changelings he didn't create if their Queen is not present), something inherent to him as the Shadow Dragon of love.<br /><br />Unusual for a pony, but normal for a Shadow Dragon, he dislikes being naked in public, something he gets around by wearing a metal purple necklace around his neck. The others typically wear far fancier outfits, but he sees his simple necklace as a way to defy them while feeling ok in public.

Backstory: Legend tells of ten powerful beasts known as the Shadow Dragons that will one day awaken, unite, and destroy all of existence. Nixhilus, the Shadow Dragon of Love, had long since been mocked by his fellow Shadow Dragons for having a lame power, instead of something they consider cool, like fire or death. Nixhilus intentionally set things up so he would awaken in Ponyville, in Equestria, without his memories, on the day they'd all wake up.<br /><br />When he woke up, he had lost his memories, and met Applejack. She took him in and he began to work for her, and she gradually started to see him as a little brother, though Twilight Sparkle saw him as a potential threat to Equestria to be studied and tested. <br /><br />He now lives in Ponyville, living with his friends, and when he's not doing that, he's all over Equestria training with anyone willing to help him fight the other Shadow Dragons.
