Appearance: Archelaus is a Bat Pony.<br /><br />Colors: Archelaus' mane and tail are black, with strange, natural dark green highlights (reference link on 'Other')<br />His coat is a lighter hue of grey, much like Octavia's. His eyes are a 'cloud blue'<br /><br />Mane and Tail styles: Archelaus wears his mane in a style rather like this: (reference link in 'Other'. Yes, I am using a lot of RWBY references for appearances. Don't judge me, just go watch the show). His tail is worn in a longer style, relative in appearance to his mane.<br /><br /><br /><br />

Cutie Mark: A manifestation of a magical aura in the shape of a white rose, whose upper petals resemble flames, to an extent.

Personality: He does his best not to speak out if turn, and rarely raises his voice in an argument. Generally, he serves as a voice of reason in disputes among his fellows. While he prefers his solitude, as he can better focus on his books, Archelaus isn't against making friends or social interaction. He will typically need to be approached, rather than be the one to initiate communication.<br />Archelaus is a little OCD with the arrangement of his books, and other possessions. They must be line up alphabetically by series, and segregated by genre. <br />Furthermore, after a bout of physical combat, or an argument, or manual labor, or even after a few minutes of doing nearly nothing, Archelaus will brush himself of any excess dust, namely from his shoulders and forelegs.<br />

Backstory: Archelaus grew up in the Everfree Forest. His parents were individuals that valued their solitude, and had claimed their ancestors inhabited the Forest long before the order was brought to Equestria. <br /><br />Archelaus was brought up reading books and studying various different subjects, including combat and magic. On the few times he accompanied his parents towards the outer rims of the Forest, he would preoccupy himself observing Unicorns performing their magic. Through the reading of his books, and observing how Unicorns performed magic, Archelaus developed a deep understanding of the force that existed in every race.<br /><br />Every type of creature that could manifest a cutie mark, namely any type of pony, even non unicorns, possess an inherent magical aura. While Unicorns are naturally the only ones who can harness this aura into the manifestations of magic, Pegasi and Earth Ponies possess passive abilities, such as the Earth Pony's enhanced strength and endurance, and affinity for tending the growing soil. Pegasi can walk on clouds and control the weather the manipulation of the clouds.<br /><br />Bat Ponies, while unable to manipulate the weather like Pegasi, can walk on the clouds, and another part of the passive magic - alongside natural genetics - is their enhanced night vision and the ability to use echolocation when needed.<br /><br />It isn't commonly known, but Bat Ponies all possess rather exceptional singing voices, another gift of their magical aura. In the past, there have been records of a Bat Pony's singing acting as a Sirens song. <br /><br />Through learning all of this, Archelaus was able to begin practicing magic himself.
