Appearance: <p> Argante used to have a grey coat but it slowly turned into a black one over time. She has a white mane and tail. See above image to see what she looks like now. </p>

Cutie Mark: <p> Her cutie mark is a crystal, when she uses any elemental magic it, along with her mane and tail will change colors according to the type of magic she uses. </p>

Personality: <p> Argante is a generally happy mare. She tends to put others before herself though, which is both a good and bad thing. She tries to make others happy. Though when she is by herself a lot of fears and nightmares plague her ever wandering mind. She is ever curious, always wanting to learn. </p>

Backstory: <p> Argante was part of an old royal family that protected the Tree of Harmony. Lots of ponies would come around during the Festival of Harmony. It was the kingdoms job and duty to keep the tree safe from any harm. When it came time for the next successor to be named, everyone thought it was to be her older brother Prince Solano. However, their parents saw darkness entering his heart and could not, in good conscious, make him the successor. So it fell unto Argante who felt bad about the thing entirely.<br /><br /> Angry at this betrayal Solano, let the darkness take him and he casted a curse upon the kingdom. He made it to where no one would know of them evermore, casting a bubble of ignorance around the kingdom and keeping them from protecting the tree as was their duty. The king and queen perished trying to cast a counter spell, however they cast a similar spell that was used on the Crystal Empire to make sure their subjects would live and one day be free. However, unknown to her parents, Argante had a different idea. Angry at her brother she stripped him of his magic, hoping she would be successful before the spell finished. She was too late though, taking in all the magic and some of the darkness with it. Now with the extra magic in her, her body can not process it, so magical bracelets were forged to keep her magic from running wild.  <br /><br /> Argante took this all very hard, losing her entire family in the span of a night made her mind unstable for a time. Slowly the forest now known as the Everfree Forest enveloped their home and further separated this once beautiful kingdom from their sacred duty.<br /><br /> Since the forest slowly cut off the sunlight from the ponies, they all started to develop much darker coats. Hence why now most if not all of them are darker versions of their former colors or near black.<br /><br /> Now the spell that the old prince cast was powerful indeed, ponies that wandered by the kingdom would naturally avoid it, thinking nothing of it, eventually it became the reason ponies started to fear walking into the forest. However, after the events of the Harmony pieces going back to the tree that sent out a powerful magical shockwave, the spell was shattered and the ponies of the old time were free to leave their prison.<br /><br /> Now Argante and her subjects are free to wander around and learn of the new times and discover the history they were not apart of. Argante hopes that maybe, just maybe, her brother is out there and that she can bring him back to the light. </p>
