• Atlas

    00Pony
    • Age: 19

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: Coat and mane/tail color: Atlas' mane and tale are a light brown hue with a couple streaks of white. Atlas coat is an oceanic blue. His eyes are a darker shade of brown than his mane.

Mane and tail style: He wears his mane slightly longer than average, and his tail remains the average length for a stallion of his age.

Cutie Mark: Atlas cutie mark is the molecular structure of H2O, signifying his skill in that area of magic.

Personality: Because of his subpar skills early in life, Atlas is humble to a fault, behaving borderline self deprecating, despite his nearly mastering water based magic at an uncommonly young age.

Despite this, he is friendly enough, and is eager to help in any way he can, disliking feeling useless when he knows there is something he can do to assist. He is a little naive, or oblivious, to most jokes, and will usually only react with a confused look and silence.

Backstory: Atlas grew up in a small, relatively unknown village along the shore of Equestria. His father was a fisher by trade, and his mother was a student from Celestia's school. Atlas had been born out on his father's ship, during the vessel's maiden voyage. Throughout life, Atlas had worked for his father as a fisher, and learned the basic fundamentals of magic from his mother

From a young age, it had been Atlas' dream to be a great magician, like his mother - who was considered a prodigy of Elemental based magics of each variety. He pressured his mother to teach him about elemental magic. She taught him the basics, and he proved to be rather bad at them, barely able to cast the lowest level spell.

Slightly discouraged, Atlas didn't pester his mother for lessons any longer, and focused instead on helping his father. While out on the water, Atlas decided to try the basic spells his mother had taught him. Still, he failed to cause the wind to blow any stronger, and he couldn't manipulate the earth in the middle of the lake. He did, however, notice a small swirl of water near the edge of the boat that seemed to be working in tandem with his magic. When he cut the feed of his aura, the swirl slowly dissipated.

For the next few years, Atlas would continue to work on his magic. He'd learned that the other elements weren't really meant for him, and water was the only one he had any considerable skill in. By the time he was fifteen, through sheer hard work and determination he had become immensely skilled in the workings of the magical manipulation of water. He ended up being the one to pilot his father's boat, manipulating the flow of water beneath it to control its speed and direction, and he could even use his magic to draw the fish out of the water as well. The way Atlas had started to manipulate water was realizing that the basics of elemental magics were really advanced telekinesis. Through using his telekinetic ability, and intense focus, Atlas would reach out to and control individual molecules. This was an incredibly outdated and difficult method, but it started him on his path to becoming a master.

By the time he reached the age of nineteen, Atlas was an expert, nearing mastery, of the water manipulation field of the elemental magic, now able to use ice based magics, draw water from the moisture in the air and even manipulate clouds because of their moisture.
