Backstory: Beastly was raised by buffalo after running away from home at the age of 10. Life with his pony family was torture for him, as he was beaten day in and day out by his sadistic father, who turned to drinking after his wife died. After ending up in a desert, without food or water, beastly was about to give up on life, when two friendly buffalo took him in, and called him their son.
