Appearance: Mildly lithe and taller than average. He's appropriately named given his dark hair and violet eyes. His wings often envelope his body due to his slender build. His mane is pitch black excluding a feathered patch of green that crosses his features.

Cutie Mark: An eye. Symbolic of his affinity for information gathering and secrets on even the most reclusive of his peers.

Personality: Quiet and mild mannered. Doesn't ruffle feathers on his by way of himself. Against being a part of conflict himself. Often cordial and welcoming. Generally nice unless he needs something.

Backstory: As one may suspect, it is often more practical to be close to members of high society than to be one yourself. Blacklight learned this as a young colt in Canterlot. He often saw the politics of nobility played out through a series of graceful maneuvering and social weaving. However, he also observed their affinity for backbiting and double-dealing to further their family name. Blacklight was no noble, but anyone could be a part of this politics if they were so inclined to. He observed with much patience the local nobility and learned the ways of intrigue, elicitation, and general secrecy. This was his calling. He never cared much for excitement and found pleasure in the simplest parts of information. He joined the press as an interviewer and reporter on just about anything you could imagine, from powerful politicians to Grandma's bakesale, he knew about all of it.
