Species: Pegasus

Appearance: Blizzard has a dull blue coat and feathers. His mane and tail are gray and have a darker gray accent, and his eyes are purple. When he flies at his top speeds Blizzard leaves a flight trail of storm clouds and snowflakes.

Cutie Mark: Blizzard's cutie mark is an ice blue lightning bolt framed in gray. He earned it when he found his love of flying fast and flying high while doing a bet to see how high he could fly.

Personality: Blizzard Blitz is generally not very trusting or friendly towards strangers, but once he gets to know them he'll let his personality out. Blizzard has always been competitive and loves to win, but he also strongly dislikes any pony that shows off without good reason or brags about their skills. Blizzard is loyal to his friends, but has a very distinct hierarchy of ranking his friends that sometimes interferes with doing the right thing. And while his tolerance for other ponies is strong, once you cross past his tolerance point Blizzard will almost never forgive you, and can hold that grudge for a very long time.

Backstory: Blizzard Blitz was born and raised in Cloudsdale with his parents, and was only just barely above average in flight school. It wasn't until the last year of flight school that he realized how much he loved flying. A couple of older pegasi who had bullied him for years for being an average flier and a blank flank bet that if Blizzard could fly higher than them, faster than them, then they would swear to leave him alone.<br /><br />When he took the bet and their race began, Blizzard started out losing, but when he thought back on his years being teased and bullied by those ponies, his anger and determination to win gave him the boost he needed. After that he quickly passed the other ponies and kept going up and up, even breaking the sound barrier. Blizzard hadn't realized that he had won until he noticed that he was so far above the clouds he could see beyond the borders of Equestria. Afterward the other ponies held up their deal, and once Blizzard was old enough to go off on his own he decided to go and travel across Equestria and visit the places he had seen when he had flown far above the clouds.<br /><br />Eventually Blizzard Blitz decided to have a sort of central base that he could return to whenever, and so he got himself a home in Ponyville due to it's central location in Equestria. Even though he lives in Ponyville, Blizzard Blitz still spends much of his time travelling and pushing his limits on how fast and how high he can fly.
