Broken Stitch/ Ripple Pool
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Species: Earth Pony
Appearance: As Ripple Pool, he looks the same, but without the stitches and faded ripples similar to his cutie mark painted onto his body.
Cutie Mark: Before he became covered in stitches, his cutie mark was a blue ripple. His cutie mark stood for him leaving a ripple of kindness whenever he did a kind act.
Personality: Despite his situation, he has a very positive attitude. He loves to smile and make friends. Of course, ponies often avoid him and this really hurts his feelings, but he buries it and moves on. He will often have nightmares. He is a very friendly and sweet stallion, and all he wishes is for people to give him a chance. He can be quite talkative if you get him in a good mood. He doesn't have it anymore, but he still pursues the ideals of his cutie mark. He does kind things for anypony whenever he can. He's easily embarrassed. When it comes to going out in public, he's quite self-conscious. He knows ponies are judging him, and as much he tries not to let it get to him, it does. Still, he buries all his negative emotions so he can stay happy. (WIP)
Backstory: Ripple's parents lived in the Everfree to prove it wasn't that bad, so he grew up knowing the forest quite well. Monsters would leave him alone. He knew if he didn't bother them, they wouldn't bother him. He never left the forest for about five years. He had no idea what was out there, and he was scared to find out. He would occasionally wander to the edge, but that's as far as he would go before running back home.

One day Ripple's parents decided to take him out of the forest to see the nearby town of Ponyville. He was around 6 at the time. He was extremely excited to be to seeing other ponies in a real town for the first time. He had to promise to meet his parents at the town square in a couple hours after he was done exploring. They sent him off with a few bits and a few stern warnings about talking to strangers. He ran off through the shops and between house, greeting every pony he passed by.

As he was passing by a house, he noticed an orange filly crying outside her door. He stopped to ask what was wrong. She pointed at the ground to a teddy bear that was ripped apart. He looked at her sympathetically before rushing off to a store. He used almost all of his bits to buy new teddy bear and bring it back to the filly. She wiped away her tears and gave him a smile. "Thank you," she said. Ripple nodded and trotted away to see some more of the town. Around fifteen minutes later, he saw the filly again. She was giving her teddy bear to a baby that was crying. The mother had been trying to get him to stop and was about to give up when the filly showed up. The baby hugged the bear and started laughing. Seeing the act of kindness made Ripple feel great inside. He saw the mother again later, too. She was helping an elderly pony carry some fruits. It was at that point Ripple realized his kindness created a ripple effect. The idea that this could be his special talent popped into his mind and he immediately looked at his flank. Sure enough, there was his cutie mark. A blue ripple.

"Mom! Dad!" He ran back to town hall to find them. They were talking to the mayor, but turned around when they heard his voice. He showed them his cutie mark and told them how he got it on the way back home. Ripple was so proud of his cutie mark. He was sitting in his room for nearly an hour with a paintbrush and paint painting his cutie mark all over himself. He loved Ponyville, and decided to move there when he was sixteen.

He lived peacefully for a few years. He would visit his family and Zecora in the Everfree every once and a while. One time while was on his way to the forest, he saw a huge pack of timberwolves running towards him. Two slowed down as they neared him, the rest continued running towards Ponyville. He panicked and turned to run. One wolf grabbed him by the tail to hold him back while the other leapt at him. He then blacked out.

He woke up to Zecora and a purple unicorn he didn't recognize looking over him. The unicorn's horn was glowing, as she was finishing up a stitch on his leg. He couldn't feel anything, he was just confused. The unicorn noticed he was awake and gave him a smile, which he could hardly see with his blurry vision. "Glad to see you're okay," the strange mare said. He could see her levitate a needle and thread over to a table that she then pushed away. Ripple's vision became clearer over the span of a few minutes, so he could now see his surroundings. The Ponyville library. Rubbing his eyes, he looked over to the mare. "What happened?..." The unicorn's purple gaze flickered over him as she explained how she had found him in critical condition in the forest and took him in to do what she could for him. Luckily, she had been looking over medicine books lately, and had been practicing medical spells. With this magic and some potion help from Zecora, she was able to put him back together. Ripple was startled to hear what had occurred to him and how he had to now live covered with stitches.

He was quite upset for the longest time. He fell into a depression and refused to leave the forest. This is when he decided Ripple Pool no longer suited him and he changed it to Broken Stitch. More fitting to his new life, he thought. Though, tired of being so upset all the time, he worked hard to make a change in his attitude. With great results, too. He pushed everything negative away and became brighter, day by day. It was hard, but he was able to get out of his rut and move on to brighter days. He made a promise to never fall victim to depression again, and so he's quite the happy pony now.

I need to rewrite this, sorry. The timber wolves thing clashes with my friend's OC's backstory, which is why I did it. It was better than my first idea as to an accident.
