Species: Unicorn

Appearance: <p> Elixir appears to have the typical height and weight expected from an unicorn.  Her rather dull-colored coat is what makes her a little different from other colorful ponies in terms of appearance.  Her coat is a light-ish grey color, with a short, slightly frizzled white mane and tail.  Elixir's eyes are that of a burgundy color. </p>

Cutie Mark: <p> The Cutie Mark which appears on her flanks appears to be a bubbling potion, the contents of which is a liquid with color bands of red, blue, and yellow. </p>

Personality: <p> Bubbling Elixir is a rather aloof pony.  She doesn't hold any attachments to anypony, and though she may make idle talk with other ponies the unicorn cares not to form friendships.  After all, she has alchemy and that is sufficient company for her. </p> <p> Though Elixir does see advantages in letting someone think she's their friend or disguising something as an act of kindness.  In the past, she had offered warm meals to homeless ponies in return for testing a potion on them, because she knows such desperate ponies will do anything to put something in their bellies.  That's not to say she doesn't have a moral code, but other ponies may consider it bizarre.  For example, she doesn't flat-out lie or harm ponies directly outside of self-defense, but figuratively stepping on heads to get what she wants is good in Elixir's book.  She'll gladly oppose any villain that proves to be a threat to her existence and violates her personal moral code, however. </p> <p> Elixir loves performing alchemy, however, and her Cutie Mark is evidence of that.  In fact, she has her own goal--creating a potion that when drank will turn the drinker into an alicorn, be they an earth pony, pegasus, or unicorn, with no princess spell needed.  After all, who wouldn't want to be a god/goddess?  Though her research on creating such a potion keeps getting sabotaged somehow...  </p>

Backstory: <p> (Notes:  This can be altered to fit a roleplay, and I will make a post describing the altered backstory.) </p> <p> Born to an unicorn couple in Canterlot, Bubbling Elixir (only known as Bubbling before earning her Cutie Mark) had always been rather strange.  She never liked playing with the other foals, and she got into fights a lot, ending in a few bruises a lot of times.  One day, while she was taking an afterschool class in one of the schools right outside Canterlot, Elixir made her first potion during a lesson in alchemy, which let her earn her Cutie Mark.  From then on, she devoted her life and studies into potion creation and transmutation of materials. </p> <p> After an incident that involved a potion turning her mane into a neon green and making her have to craft a potion that will turn it back to white, Elixir realized she needed better tools to craft potions.  And so she began working at a job at a Canterlot cafe to save up for those tools.  But the bits she was earning at the job wasn't enough.  The unicorn began working up the ranks of the figurative social pyramid of the cafe, eventually having enough for more specialized alchemists' tools.  Her job at the cafe and her sale of potions soon was enough to allow her to move out of Canterlot and into Ponyville to open a small apothecary shop there. </p> <p> Her search for the potion that could turn ponies into alicorns began when researched further into the origin of alicorns.  Elixir was confident that, given the right materials and conditions, anypony can become a god, a stance that was only reaffirmed when news spread of Celestia's student becoming an alicorn, even if it was done through magic.  She's still working to find that potion to this day. </p>
