Appearance: A bright yellow mane; with a white coat. Her mane is styled to look like Fluttershy's, but shorter, and her eyes are bright green.

Cutie Mark: A chandelier with many burning candles on it.

Personality: Candela is comfortable around ponies she knows well, but around strangers she can get very shy. But she has a bright and cheery personality, and likes it when others are happy.

Backstory: Candela was born to a wealthy family that lives on an estate outside of Canterlot, in a rather large home. She is the youngest of 3 other siblings, Alice (the eldest), Daisy, and River Bank.<br /><br />As fillies, they loved venturing into the woods surrounding their home, and with the help of their father, erected a tree house in the tallest oak tree they could find. Farther in the forest, they discovered the ruins of a library, and use to play all kinds of different games within the ruins.<br /><br />As they grew older, they became more mature and stopped playing their games. Alice went off to work as a professor in a very prestigious Canterlot university, and Candela made sure to spend as much time as possible with her siblings before they too went away.<br /><br />Eventually Daisy opened a flower shop in Ponyville and River Side was drafted into the Princesses' Royal Guard. Candela was left alone with her parents. She decided to restore the ruined library in the woods, and soon it was a majestic, towering structure, and recieved books and funding from Canterlot. A path was made to the new library, and soon Candela and her family became even more wealthy and prosperous, and the citizens who visited the library kept her company.<br /><br />---(How Candela got her Cutie Mark)---<br /><br />One day, when Candela and her siblings were adventuring around the ruins, they discovered catacombs beneath the structure. Out of pure curiosity, they decided to venture in, despite Alice and Candela's fears, and not long after many rocks fell from the roof of the cave, blocking the entrance to the very weak cave, after withstanding hundreds of years of torment, could hold itself up no more.<br /><br />They wandered in the dark, trying to find a capable light source. After failing to find any, they tried to use their horns' shimmer to light the cave, but the light was far too dim. That was, until Candela tried and found her special ability; the ability to make her entire body shimmer when using magic<br /><br />You see, Candela's family was decended from a long line of powerful wizards, and because of that a special kind of magic ran through every member of the family. For some, that magic was stronger, and they were born with a special power, that was only unlocked a few seconds before the arrival of one's cutie mark. Alice had the ability to decode ancient languages, Diasy had the ability to revive dead plants upon touch, and River Side had supernatural strength and speed.<br /><br />They followed Candela's light until they stumbled upon another entrance, and they ran swiftly home, where the siblings told their parents of Candela's newfound ability. What they didn't notice was Candela's Cutie Mark, which their father pointed out, and as was custom to this family, held a big festival, celebrating Candela's new Cutie Mark.
