Appearance: Carmus possesses the build of a usual Pegasus soldier (think Celestia's guards for an example). His mane and tail most closely resemble that of the ponified Kid from Bastion. (link to picture in other)<br /><br />Color wise, Carmus' body is a dull brick red/brown type color, and his eyes are a vivid blue.<br /><br />He bears a scar on the left side of his muzzle.

Cutie Mark: Carmus' Cutie Mark is identical to the anarchist symbol of a flag set in stone and placed in a circle The mark's color is pretty much the same color as Octavia's body. Despite its resemblance to the anarchist symbol, it represents his talent for leadership and inspiration.

Personality: Carmus is a born leader, and a brilliant tactician when it comes to field operations, or everyday life - though he sometimes goes overboard with that bit.<br />He is confident, but knows his limitations, and the limitations of his team, so he isn't entirely arrogant. He does tend to over think some things however, and takes honor very seriously. His personal creed demands he never leave a comrade behind. When not on the field, he has a powerful sense of humor, and is friendly. On the field, he is almost a different pony entirely, becoming serious and practical. Though some may not think it, Carmus is a family oriented individual at heart.

Backstory: Carmus is a member of the Sentinel Bloodline. The Sentinels were Pegasus twins - a mare and a stallion - and the first of Celestia and Luna's Royal Guards. The Sentinels led a resistance movement during the Discordian Era against the Draconequus' rule over Equestria. At the arrival of the Princesses, and the subsequent defeat of the Spirit of Chaos, the siblings swore their fealty, and the fealty of their Line, to the Princesses.<br /><br />The Sentinel Bloodline have been serving the Royal sisters ever since.<br /><br />Carmus, a direct descendant of the elder Sentinel, Solstice, holds the rank of Captain in an elite special forces group of the Equestrian Air Force, known as Raptors. He commands the Ensis Squadron, who specialize in precision offensive or search and rescue type missions.<br /><br />*The Raptor Captain is the husband to the Wonderbolt Captain, Spitfire. They met during a crisis in Equestria where the Academy and many other landmarks had been attacked. Carmus and his squad were deployed to search for survivors in the ruins. Carmus found Spitfire held in place by a piece of rebar impaling one leg. By the time Carmus had extricated the Wonderbolt Captain from her entrapment, the structurally unsound Academy Administration Building had begun to crumble and fall from the cliff it was situated upon, and Carmus was forced to carry Spitfire through the collapsing building.<br /><br />Upon arriving outside, relatively unscathed - minus a sizable laceration on Carmus' muzzle, Spitfire stated she owed the Raptor Captain a drink, and things went from there.*<br /><br />The Sentinel Line was blessed for their actions by a higher power, and after death become something of Watchers - guardian angels - for the living world, giving the name 'Sentinel' yet another meaning.
