Personality: Ceres is an intelligent and thoughtful mare, and weighs her options carefully. While she may have a hidden agenda, she always looks for the best outcome possible. She is extremely blunt, and doesn't hesitate to give a full analytical report if pressured for details. While she is intelligent, she is not always socially aware and speaks in a very direct manner. Many ponies find offense to this type of speech as offensive, and Ceres has scared away several potential suitors because she was emotionally insensitive with them.<br /><br />In addition to being blunt, Ceres has a tendency to think in ways that normal ponies do not. Her unusual thinking process brings her to unique conclusions, driven by her different perception of reality. Some ponies have even gone so far as to call Ceres 'crazy', but she prefers the term 'perceptually gifted'. Ceres is a fun loving pony but prefers to observe ponies and make evaluations of their character before conversing with them. If a pony interacts with Ceres, she is always closely observing and analyzing their behavior in an attempt to understand their motives, behavioral patterns, and thought process.<br /><br />Ceres is attracted to both stallions and mares, and if she has her way she even enjoys them both at the same time. Her methods of socialization reveal her own control complex. She always seeks to dominate and control the situation, even if its only amongst her peers. She has a habit of manipulating ponies into whatever she has planned for them. She gains their trust and places herself as a high priority in their life, allowing her great influence. Sometimes she uses this for sexual pleasure, sometimes she uses this to solidify friendship, and other times she uses this to achieve other ends. The fact remains that Ceres garners great influence over the ponies that she chooses and may even wait to exercise that influence for another time. After all, it's not about what you know, but who you know...

Backstory: Ceres grew up in a rather influential family in Canterlot. For a time, Ceres was in a gang during her rebellion stage of her life. She would infiltrate a business or home and steal whatever valuables she could find. After she was caught by her parents, who had found a stolen vase under their floorboards, she vowed to leave that life behind her. Her mother, a highly skilled unicorn, landed her a position in the agricultural research department. Ceres now works as a researcher to improve on the crop cycles and conditions that crops can grow in. However, her creations tend to follow a bit more of a choatic pattern at times, at one point making a pony-eating cabbage. Her experiments from that point onward were watched with careful supervision.<br /><br />Despite her eccentric experimenting with crops, Ceres has shown great potential for cultivating new and improved plants. Her house has a large greenhouse in the back which she keeps the less socially acceptable creations in, a response to the unfortunate incident that happened in the lab when her pony-eating cabbage ate a large portion of the director's tail.
