Appearance: Compared to the average pony height and build, Flame is rather shorter than most. His height ranges between a colt's and a fully grown pony's. His build is somewhat thin, due to not being well fed in his early years.

Cutie Mark: Fire with twin checkered flags. He designs, builds, tests, and often races automobiles during his spare time.<br />

Personality: Flame can be a very shy pony, but is very kind once one gets to know him. Traits include being helpful to others, even though he needs help himself. He's very kind, respectful towards anypony he encounters. Flaws include being depressed, sometimes angered, very fearful, and lacking self-confidence. There were instances where he was on the brink of insanity.

Backstory: After the unexpected deaths of both of his parents, the young Checkered Flame was soon adopted by his uncle and his aunt. For nearly the remainder of his foalhood, it was complete hell for him. There were days and nights where his uncle came home drunk and severely abused him both verbally and physically. At his elementary school, he was constantly picked on, and nearly didn't have anyone for him to call for help. He had enough. After 8 years of absolute torment, he packed his belongings and ran away for Ponyville in an attempt to start a new life and hopefully escape his dark past. Now, he's taken up an interest in mechanics and engineering, especially when it comes to building automobiles.
