Personality: Chef De Cuisine's most easily noticeable characteristics are the calm, cool, and collected manner in which he carries himself. He tends to speak in a very composed manner, even in dire situations, and rarely acts without thinking. His demeanor in a lot of ways can be compared to that of a secret agent. This is amplified by the fact that he tends to wear a suit, very often enjoys a smoke, and tends to play smooth music with jazzy undertones when he speaks. However, He quite often makes comedic exceptions to this, such as when in the presence of beautiful mares, or when angered by a customer. He is more perceptive than he seems, and often tells ponies what they need to hear instead of what they want. He can often be scary at times. He is not afraid to show his emotions when the moment calls for it, and is entirely capable of crying or losing his temper, which results in his short fuse and subsequent beatings of most ponies.

Backstory: Chef De Cuisine is the sous chef of Equine Cuisine. A famous restaurant in Manehatten. He was born and raised on a distant island. One day a group of pirates attacked his home when he was a colt. Helpless to defend himself Chef was mercilessly beaten by the pirate captain leader who decided to take him hostage and make him work as a cabin boy. Chef refused and attempted to commit suicide by throwing himself over the side of the boat. The pirate captain had surprisingly chose to dive in after him when his leg caught on debris during the rescue and he had to cut it off in order to get Chef and save them both. He does this by wrapping a chain around the trapped leg and letting the force of the ships sever it allowing him to dive in and save the young Chef's life. As fate would have it soon the 2 were miraculously washed up on a seashore. They were left starving for several days. After eighty-five days with little food in their possession they were finally rescued. The pirate captain swore that if he made it off the island alive, he would open a restaurant in Manehatten and serve anyone who was hungry, whether they be good or bad. Moments after revealing his dream, The pirate captain and Chef de Cuisine are rescued by a passing ship. Years later, the pirate captain made good on his promise and opened a restaurant in Manehatten famous for its amazing food and fighting cooks. Chef gained his cutie mark there during his time at the restaurant and became the head cook.
