Appearance: Black with a deep red mane. His eyes are a penetrating red as well. A sinister aura surrounds him, deterring ponies.

Cutie Mark: A skull is what marks his flank. It's symbol of fear.

Personality: A middle aged pony with a misunderstood personality. He prefers to be alone with his cemetery and his thoughts while he mumbles to himself. He does not have many friends as most ponies on Equestria don't trust him however Zecora and himself have an odd friendship. Many ponies believe he is cursed as a mournful aura follows him everywhere. <br />

Backstory: Himself and Blue Moon lived in a far away place. One day that place began to divide as pegasi and unicorns no longer trusted each other and a bloody civil war broke out. When he was conscripted into the unicorn army and his wife was forced to join the pegasi, she wouldn't fight. She ran away and Church, enraged with fury at the pegasi for making his wife leave, joined the war with a passion. <br /><br />A mysterious pony yet a patriot at heart. Before coming to Equestria he fought in a bloody civil war between pegasi and unicorns. After the civil war was over and the unicorns had declared surrender himself as well as many other unicorns travelled far for peace and quite. Many misunderstand him as they do not know the full story as how his beloved wife was taken from him in the war, leaving him alone and left to live the life of a hermit.
