Appearance: Clay is a large earth pony stallion with a red-brown hide. He has a black mane with dark brown highlights that hangs in his face. He has peridot colored eyes. He has a long, straight and thin tail. His hooves are dark brown. He has three dark freckles under his eyes. He is very muscular and strong. He wears a black Dawson on his head. He has a light western accent and a quiet rumbly voice.<br />

Cutie Mark: Clay has two pickaxes in an x for a cutie mark. He is very talented miner, and can vaguely sense where there are valuable things in the ground. He owns his own mine and he mines gems and ore.<br />

Backstory: Clay was born and raised in Fillydelphia in a big family. He has three older brothers and one older sister as well as one younger sister. He also has many cousins who live close by. His family is very industrial and are all involved in successful businesses. All of them are very well off. The Miller family is very prominent where they are. His dad owns a very successful mine that Clay always worked in. When he was about 11 Jay Hurricane moved to town. They quickly became friends and developed a very close relationship. The whole family kind of adopted both Jay and Summer as extended family and treated them as such. Jay was pretty much Clay’s only friend. A couple years after they became friends, Clay found Terra when he got lost in his dad’s mine one day. From that day on they were friends. When Clay was about eleven he got his cutie mark working in the mine one day. Shortly after Jay left for Ponyville, Clay and his family all agreed that Clay was grown now and needed to go out and be his own stallion. He remembered that Jay had moved to Ponyville, so his dad pulled a few strings and they got Clay a mountain property on the outskirts on Ponyville. They built a mansion inside the mountain as a "growing up" gift. Clay insisted on paying them back even though his family refused.<br />
