Click/Rain Shadow
By Fractured
Age: 18 (8/2)
Gender: Female
Species: Non-Pony
Appearance: Body: As a changeling, like an ordinary drone. As Rain Shadow: incredibly light and floaty due to her physiology, and also very durable due to her hard carapace. Has an incredible endurance due to the nomadic lifestyle of the changelings. As durable as she is, though, she has an average pain tolerance, and doesn’t like being hurt. Wounds that go past her shell take forever to heal.

Eyes: As a changeling, green. As a pony, only slightly less green, and tinged with a little blue. Normally nervous and shifty, as if she were hiding something

Voice:
“So, maybe I’m not the best pony to be talking to you. And I kinda know that you’d much rather be talking to absolutely anypony but me right now, but… hi anyway?”

Has a happy, rising, generally optimistic voice that falls when she’s angry or sad. When she speaks, she talks a little louder than an indoor voice, even when she shouldn’t. Has a habit of talking like she’s making a suggestion, though. Alternates between short clippy sentences and being incredibly long-winded and trailing, though she usually falls into the latter category when she’s nervous. She likes to add a lot of precursors to her speech, and talk around the subject. Puts heavy emphasis on the first and last word in a sentence, and very light emphasis on the rest.
Cutie Mark: A black cloud with black raindrops, representing Rain Shadows special talent at weather control.
Personality: Overall, very sporadic. Is very relaxed in front of her friends, and is in general friendly and eager to participate in anything. Around strangers, however, is very nervous and awkward, and secretive in nature.

Being a changeling and belonging to a queen, she's submissive in nature. She typically bows under peer pressure unless its something that she cares deeply about, or something that scares her. She's also not one that's up for facing dramatic conflicts head on, and is much more likely to just take off and run before the danger even presents itself, unless her friends are involved. She carries with her a hive mentality built of those close to her, and will go to great lengths to protect them.

She's empathic, and can read the feelings of others. However, she's not all that good at making others feel better, although she will try her best to help someone feel better, friend or stranger. It's the way of the hive, or at least, what's she thinks it should be.

Carries strong feelings about changelings, as she believes that the hive is misguided, not wrong.Though they need love, she feels there's more than enough to be had without resorting to trickery and violence. She truly believes that their can be a compromise and peace between Equestrians and Changelings, and that someone just needs to stand up and do something.

Strengths: Intelligent, and capable of solving problems easily. Can see very well and in a variety of interesting and unknown colors. Is a decent archer.

Likes: Purple because of its sedate and controlled nature: not too bright, not to dark.

Emotions. Changelings primarily feed on positive emotions, love being the strongest of which, to the point of almost intoxication.
Rain Shadow, however, prefers joy, even though it packs less of a taste. It makes her feel better.
Spring, and nature in general.

Dislikes: Bright flashy colors; needs time to get used to them.
Changelings being insulted.
Being called a freak, monster, etc.
Negative emotions
Backstory: One of the many changelings to be expelled from Canterlot during the Queen's siege, Clicks life took its first abrupt turn when the force of the blast sent her smashing headfirst into a tree, damaging her senses.

When she woke up, she found out that the impact had damaged her brain, and that she could no longer feel the connection to the Queen or the rest of the hive. She tried to hide it, but she was quickly found out and expelled from the colony, almost being killed before she made it a safe distance from the hive.

She crawled through the woods for a while, half-dead, until she heard the sound of a carriage wheeling through the forest. Disguising herself as a pegasus from a city that had long ago been conquered by the Changelings, she managed to trick the kind-hearted strangers into letting her ride with them. The ensuing trip would take them on a direct ride to Ponyville.

Once there, she would discover the second shock of her life. Living with the Queen and the hive, she had always assumed that their way had been the best way, attacking ponies and forcing their love from them. But as she stayed with the friendly couple who had picked them up, she found out that their way had been wrong all along. In a place with no fear, love grew even stronger, enough to feed the entire hive with just its ambiance. Living with the ponies, they would never have to starve again.

Always under the guise of the (foreign) pegasus named Click, She grew to make friends and eventually, to love Ponyville and its residents with the same intensity as any of its equine inhabitants. She currently has her own house now, and does freelance jobs while she focuses on her real goal: working on a way to bring the Changelings and Equestrians to a final compromise, if not outright co-habitation. Unsurprisingly, all of her efforts so far have seemingly failed.
