Appearance: Clover has a soft, short-cut main and tail of a rich maroon colour, and her coat is a pale lavender hue. She has no distinctive markings.

Cutie Mark: A single clover with swirls and stars dotted around it, symbolizing her luck and special gift for magic.

Personality: Clover is a clumsy, but extremely booksmart young unicorn under the mentoring of Starswirl the Bearded. She often tries to remain positive in tough spots, but has no real experience with anypony her own age, so has a tendency to be awkward in casual company. Often overlooked by any pony seeking Starswirl's council as nothing more than a mere assistant, she is driven to make her mark and stand out from the crowd.

Backstory: She grew up in the city of Canterlot, and showed an aptitude for magic at a young age. Starswirl hoofpicked her from a class of other foals to take on as his personal apprentice, though many times Clover questions why due to her clutziness. Her mother and father worked as magicians, and so much pressure was put on Clover to be more than hocus-pocus tricks and smoke.
