Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a flower. It has blue petals on the outside with pink petals in the center. The flower makes a faint star shape.<br />Her cutie mark is for her learning how to cross breed flowers. Not a common talent I would hope. The star shape, while the shape of the flower also stands for willingness to explore the unknown to get the plants she cross bred.

Personality: She is stubborn, once she has her mind set on something no one can talk her out of it. Also she is curious and always trying to prove herself. Sadly she can be a bit over competitive and a sore loser. However when she does something wrong there's no one who can be any harder on her then she is to herself.

Backstory: She was raised by her aunt and uncle, never knowing her father, and her mother to busy to take care of her on her own. They all live on the Pinto Archipelago, her mother living on the biggest island.<br />Her mother had moved to the bigger island shortly after the Cobalt's birth. That island of course is filled with bustle and the largest city on any of the islands. However, Cobalt along with her aunt and uncle live on the second largest island.<br />This island being much harder to tame is more modest and easy going. There only being three towns on the large island. The one town which Cobalt lives in is the biggest town, but it also has a large dark forest much akin to everfree next to it. Many things hide deep in the forest and one of them being<br />called by the locals the "Spirit Demon." Some of the older ponies whisper that Cobalt's father was one of these beings. Just superstition of course though, right? Still these whispers are probably one of the reason her mother didn't raise her. Even if poor Cobalt was to have<br />some relation to such a creature she only got her strange markings and hooves to show for it. For all intents and purposes she is a normal Earth pony. And she doesn't care about being an earth pony, she has no desire to fly, though she admits it would be useful, and no desire to have magic... well maybe a little but that's when she has chores. <br />Another thing I should note about this island is it has a ruling Alicorn family, a queen and a king and their daughter who is about the same age as Cobalt, and her best friend. They've gone on many adventures trying to find their cutie marks, with guards trailing behind them. Much to the dismay of the two, whose ideas aren't always approved of.<br />When they aren't getting themselves in trouble they hang out at the hot springs, where there is plenty to do. As for Cobalt herself she is normally the ring leader when the two get in trouble. She being more bold, perhaps in an attempt to prove herself. Anyway she has always had a loved of plants and flowers, and one day when her friend was busy learning princess stuff as she called it. Cobalt wandered into the forest, though not to far in cause there was danger.<br />What she found was surprising the town itself used to be past the boundaries of the forest. More bold and curious then for her own good she explored a bit more and found what was left of an old green house, the plants that had once been in it having started growing wild.<br />Finding the flowers pretty she was drawn towards two different breeds Though there were few left of each of these flowers. The wildness and darkness of the forest not being very kind to them. Getting what she could before they budded she gathered some to take back with her. As she looked at them she noticed they both had traits she liked. So she got the idea to experiment with a few of them and maybe make a hybrid flower.<br /> Her thinking was that if she could cross the pollen perhaps that could cause some kind of reaction that would make a new flower. So she went about trying several different things until finally she found the key to cross breeding the plants. She successfully bred a Lilly like flower with a Rose like flower. This having earned her a cutie mark. Her cutie mark being of course this flower she made.
