• Connery

    00Pony
    • Age: 50

      Gender: Male

      Species: Pegasus

Appearance: An older stallion who once served in the Equestrian Military, his body shows the years of hard work. He is still in relatively good shape and health,
His coat is a slightly lighter hue of forest green, and his mane and tail have begun to gray with age, though there are still traces of the former charcoal hue.
His eyes are a dull grey.
He speaks with a noticeable highland accent.

Cutie Mark: A pile of shell casings surrounding a crosshair.
It represents his preference and skill for long ranged combat, rather than close quarters.

Personality: Somewhat cynical at times, and a blunt way of speaking, Connery can take a bit of getting used to.
He is a protective pony, however. While he doesn't always come off as such, often letting younger ponies do stupid things to teach them a lesson, he would still be standing by to help get them out of the jam if it proved to be to much.
While he is in good health, he'll still grumble about his wing joints hurting every now and again, whether it's just for the sake of his knowing he still has a voice, or because they actually hurt is unknown half the time.
Connery's neck is scared by a bite mark, having been attacked during his days in the military by a desperate griffon, which bit him to buy themselves time to get away. It didn't work, though it did cause the stallion to nearly lose his voice.
After getting to know Connery, he does bear something of a dry sense of humor, though he doesn't portray this much.
He suffers from mild PTSD, which has lessened in recent years.

Backstory: Born and raised in the highlands north of Trottingham, Connery joined the military first chance he got, eager to serve his country in the most honorable way he knew.
At the time of his joining, he was rather naive and gung ho, maintaining a cheery attitude and often joking with his drill sergeants, which got him on just about everyone's blacklist.
Despite his behavior, Connery was serious about his service to the military, and didn't scrimp on his studies, even having graduated in the top ten percent of his class.
It wasn't until his first deployment in a real war zone that Connery woke up and smelt the napalm. He learned just how bad war was, and lost many friends throughout his years of service, even losing half his ear and nearly half his body at one point.
After seeing the worst of what war had to handle, Connery no longer behaved like the gung ho colt he once was, and instead became a serious and scarred stallion.
He had only recently retired from service as the time of the outbreak, though he believed it was all just a fevered dream fueled by his PTSD at first. He soon learned otherwise, and set about getting used to the hellhole that was the world he now lived in.
